Welcome to week two, Teens Who Are Definitely Searching for Love!

Hopefully everyone got a lot of rest over the weekend, and are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the upcoming week, because there are a few things of interest this week.

But first, some changes of note in the house!

First: there is a giant rectangular box on the living room table, addressed to Lessing. It is a care package. The only thing in it is his sword.

There is some Bauernbrot bread on the counter. Ask Lessing about that too.

There is now a hot tub near the pool. It’s large enough to seat about six teens comfortably, but you can get more in there if you really try for some reason.

Okay I think that’s everything. Additionally, Tsukasa is here early this week! He’s looking pretty perky, seemingly recovered from the Match Ceremony, and he’s got some interesting info to share with everyone.

Welcome to your first CR building mini-event! This week, characters can obtain a sheet of tasks from Tsukasa (u do not have to tag him for this unless you want to, he is not Mod Mandated Tsukasa) which will serve as their “scavenger hunt”.

The tasks can be found here.

The sheet can have any number of tasks on it, and you can OOCly pick whichever tasks seem the most fun for you! ICly, the characters won’t get to decide, though they can ask Tsukasa for another sheet if they want (please feel free to make sure they always get the tasks you want them to have to do, ofc).

Written at the top are the rules:

Please get at least 15 points to turn in your scavenger hunt.

Tasks that involve two people, like kissing someone on the lips, give points to both contestants.

If enough people turn in a completed sheet, you will gain a hint for the upcoming week.

Additional OOC notes:

The sheets are ~ magical ~, so they know if you’re being truthful or not, or if the task was properly completed. They will automatically mark the task off when your character is finished with it.
These tasks can be accomplished both in the house, or on dates
The number of completed sheets it will take to win is [redacted] right now.
Each character can only complete one sheet, but they can absolutely run around helping others complete theirs if they’ve still got the energy.
Turn in just by checking in to this comment, it's fine, it's all honor system, you don't have to keep specific track unless you want to.

Feel free to ask any questions either here or in the discord! Turn in for these is due Thursday, Nov 21 10 AM EST so I can give you your hint before you all have to vote on the Truth Booth.

[Well. At least he's back to being sparkly. Whether that's a good thing or not surely depends on the character in question.]

I have excellent news for all of you. First, production is finally prepared to send all of you on dates! This is an excellent chance to take someone you'd like to get to know better away from the house and spend some quality time together.

[and spend production's money.

It's a win-win.

He nods approvingly, and then clears his throat and holds up a stack of papers.]

Secondly! There is a challenge, for those ready to take it on. I have here various tasks that need to be completed with your fellow competitors. If you can gather enough points, and if enough people turn them in, I will be able to provide a hint towards someone's match.

[Sanji is perusing his sheet of tasks in the main area with one hand in his pocket. When he glimpses a presence in his periphery, he lifts his head and waves the sheet once, regardless of who it may be.]

i. scavenger hunt

[ Mark is staring at his sheet, brows furrowed. They should get the hint. It'd be stupid to not get the hint. But some of these tasks...

Okay, the smaller ones he can handle. But he should be trying for some of the bigger ones, too, to make sure he gets his sheet completed. But Discuss your fears with someone... Tell someone about something you regret... Tell someone something you don't think you should be forgiven for...

uuugghh. He throws his head back and groans. At least there's other stuff on his list, but still...

He rights himself, huffs a sigh, catches the eye of someone else with their own sheet. ]

ii. hot tub

[ He may be physically fine and healthy now, but his body has been beaten to a pulp before. ... Many times. ... so, so many times already.

Which is to say, damn does being in the hot tub feel good. Mark is fully relaxed in it, arms propped up against its edges, eyes shut and just blissed out.

His eyes are still shut when he hears someone else approaching. ]

This is amazing. You coming in? [ A contented little sigh. ] It's on my scavenger hunt list so, bonus.

[ Also, if you didn't know he had abs before, you're welcome. He has abs. This is by far the most his physique has been on display since he got here. ]

a. nightmare time

[ In the early hours of Monday morning, Asa jerks awake with a loud, panicked-sounding gasp.

After looking around to make sure she hasn't woken anyone else up (not that she can really tell in the dark), she steps out of bed as quietly as she can and heads for the kitchen to grab a glass of water. She'll be in there for a while, just... staring into space, so feel free to run into her even without having been woken up, or if you're one of the exiled freaks. You know who you are. ]

b. scavenger time

[ She's already regretting her promise to be more of a team player this week, but they definitely need that hint. So here she is, staring down at her scavenger hunt sheet with an expression of disgust — then switching into Focus Mode. The first person she sees is getting accosted without so much as a hello. ]

Can we do this without making it weird? [ Says the girl who makes everything weird. ]

I. SCAVENGER HUNT

[ Obligatory prompt-filling--and Ritsuka will even help you, grimacing lightly at her sheet before waving it at you. ]

Well, we could use all the help we can get. What can I do for you?

II. BATH TIME

[ You can probably do scavenger things with her too, but for now, it's just Ritsuka with a little basin by the pool, filled with soapy water.

And a deeply unhappy creature she's working on scrubbing. ]

Try to hang in there, Fou. We're almost d--whoa!

[ The Creature is making a break for freedom, incoming!! ]

[ Ryuji's going to be around throughout the week. Not doing anything particularly important, but he'll be hanging around, eating food, being nosy, all that.

This is a general Ryuji Sakamoto happy hour top level. Just hit him up. Do things with him. He is a ragdoll, he is available for all. ]

I. scavenger hunt

a. tragic anime backstories

[ Josuke waggles his own list back and forth, musing aloud to whoever's near him: ]

Similar childhood... what's that even supposed to mean?

[ How they were parented? What sports they played? Or maybe just sharing a significant childhood event is enough. He'll start broad: ]

Off the top of my head, I had a single mom and no siblings. Is that close to yours at all?

How long do you think you have to carry someone for? 'Cause I don't know if I can do it for an hour...

[ Like the mysterious handcuff prompt. He's got the Joestar physique and he's strong, but he's not That strong. He shows the chosen housemate his list which has the carrying prompt, quirking a brow and inwardly trying to gauge how okay they would be with being lifted by him. ]

is usually no where to be found on property, sorry if she's a little hard to grab for REGULAR CONVERSATION, but she's got a duty to the and by god some of this shit is easy.

case and point: she's sitting very demurely (?) at least one day out of this week to dedicate to this thing, thighs bare thanks to her choice in shorts, women-likers you're welcome, with her sheet beside her. ]

It's been exhausting, hasn't it? Do you wanna lay down for a bit?

[ patting her lap... please. it's not every day a beautiful young woman offers her lap. now, like, some people will get a nicer treatment than others, but shoot your shot. ]

2. five feet apart because we're not gay

[ the promised!!!!! hot tub!!!!!!!! this is something she will be found in pretty much every night usually after dinner, wearing a bikini that... definitely should have stayed in "last year" as far as sizing goes, so to speak. sorry. this is canon. she's a threat to the show's rating. ]

Nothing beats a good soak... I can feel the kilos coming off me.

[ ... no one tell her that's not how it works. ]

3. she's here at night at least

[ far later into the night when she's preeeeeeeeetty sure everyone's asleep

anna is not. she's finally getting somewhere with her plans, and even if it makes her yawn to be up past her bedtime she's got a face mask on to help prevent wrinkles and bags under her eyes. getting up for a drink of water? she's in the kitchen. cooking something. god, this girl never stops eating, does she? ]

I. Sword and Bread!!

A. Sword

[ Are these the perks of not making the Overseer completely miserable? Hard to say, but Lessing looks mildly surprised to see a large package left out in the living room for him. It takes him about half a second to realize exactly what it is based on the size of the package though, and given recent revelations maybe it's coming none-too-late.

He doesn't say a word as he unwraps his absurdly huge sword which actually stands a little taller than he does (and yes, that does include his horns). It's completely wrapped from tip to hilt in cloth bandages, so it could easily be a prop sword, right?

Maybe... The way the whole living room seems to vibrate for a second when he picks the sword up and lets the tip of it fall heavily onto the floor suggests otherwise.

Look though! He's smiling! ]

B. Bread

[ Come get yourself some bread! This one is definitely Tsukasa's doing, considering [REDACTED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE].

Is this a particular exciting prompt? PERHAPS NOT, but use this as a chance to learn about this bread if you didn't know already. Lessing certainly looks happy standing by the counter chowing down on a slice. ]

II. Scavenger Hunt

[ Lessing is standing in the living room, holding one of the sofa's throw pillows, looking baffled as he looks at the list. Much like the cake incident, the first person that walks by is being offered the pillow. ]

Here.

[ Someone has never heard the term "lap pillow" before, and is doing his best to guess. ]

III. Hot Tub

[ If you have it, you might as well use it, right? The mystery of how Lessing gets shirts on and off of his head will remain for now, because for the first time that anyone would see him without one, he'll just be showing up late in the evening to the hot tub.

His scars might not be as impressive and large as the one Steve is sporting, but damn there sure are a lot of them. Most of them look fairly old and faded, though there are number that look like they were probably made far more recently.

It's fine. Like he's told some people already, all the people almost dying and/or actually dying in his country has been put to rest (for now). ]

a. SURF'S UP

[between all of the outings and the scavenger hunt, it's shaping up to be a pretty busy week! but Will still manages to find some downtime in the evenings, which he mostly spends outside near his li'l makeshift camp. although today he isn't just sitting by the fire. . . he is zipping around the backyard on a hoverboard!]

[wait]

[no, that's not a hoverboard. it's. . . his sword?]

[yes he is surfing through the air on his sword what of it. don't judge. it's fun!]

[Presuming Kat was not drowned in the Hudson on her cruise ship date, she's going to commandeer a big circle in the middle of the house's living room, maybe with a nice straight shot to the pool and hot tub out back for anyone who wants to go mingle elsewhere. There's candy and soda and any number of junk food snacks, and I'm not saying that one of the more delinquent teens couldn't have found a way to sneak in alcohol, but that's between them and god.

She waves at anyone she sees throughout the early evening and starts herding them around, possibly with floating involved.] Hii! Kat here! I might not have been to as many parties as Anna has, but I know the students at the academy get up to all kinds of mischief when they aren't in class. Ehe, well, we won't be summoning any Nevi today, so let's play a game instead!

[She plunks a huge, empty container down in the middle of the cleared-out space.] Spin the bottle! It's all the rage with the youth! You twirl it around, and whoever it lands on is yours to kiss... however you two want! [She's not going to be a stickler for rules when there are 2-point and 3-point objectives all over the place. Yay, goals!]

Well, you can work on your other scavenger hunt things too while you're not playing... but it's not really a hunt if you don't have to go out looking for it.

[Wednesday rolls around, and hopefully, people have been enjoying their dates and their fallout from spin-the-bottle. Everyone's having a good time, right?]

Great job, everyone! [Now she just sounds like Tsukasa...] I knew we could do it.

[Kat holds up her completed sheet proudly, waving it around with the kind of joy some people reserve for their diplomas.]

I can totally taste that hint! We're going to get a good clue, for sure. Um... but should we pick who we want a hint about based on who we want to send to the booth, or the other way around...?

[ Well. He has read the envelope. After succumbing to peer pressure, he is one step closer to figuring out who his perfect match is.

And so, he returns to the group, and, ]

My perfect match is with, uh, [ quoting the note, ] "one of the ladies."

[ A beat. An apologetic smile to Josuke. This is fine, actually, but anyway, ]

So that narrows some things down.

[ Are you enjoying your Thursday AYTO-ers... well, it's about to get even more special, because Ritsuka and Josuke can be seen taking a very large cloth bag from production, which takes both of them to carry. It's all tied up with a ribbon, so you can't see what's inside! The two of them will set it down in the main living area and call everyone over who's around, but also, if you don't come by they'll probably protag at you eventually. With his usual lazy, laid-back grin: ]

Hey. Me and Ritsuka won big at the carnival.

[ read: they cheated and robbed that place blind ]

No reason for all of us to not benefit, right?

[ yeah they won enough prizes so everyone could get one... COME BY AND GET YOUR GOVERNMENT ASSIGNED FUN GIFT ]

[ Like. You probably knew this was coming, and Ritsuka will go on a tour around the house to collect everyone (but respect opinions if anyone wants to bow out). Girl is doing her best. Lord. She's also passing Fou around if anyone needs a snuggle. He's more likely to be sweeter with the girls, though.

Anyway!! ]

First off, I'm sorry to Sanji and Doro-chan, but this isn't entirely a loss in terms of strategizing. It means we've ruled out another pair [ instead of like... a lot more, but it's fine ] so we might want to think about if any of the other pairs last week could stand a valid chance. To reiterate, that's me and Lessing, Maomao and Kat, Asa and Anna-chan, Will and Minami, and Steve and Akechi-kun. ... Honestly, I don't think those last two are a match and I'm willing to explain that if I need to.

Also, I think anyone who didn't get a chance to pick last week should maybe bring up who they're thinking of picking this week. We still don't know who that is, entirely. But I think it's a good idea to have some kind of plan in mind. I'd like to avoid ending up with two sets of people who had to get paired by Tsukasa again.

If anyone starts fighting over this, the promise to get between you and punch you myself still stands.
