Welcome to week two, Teens Who Are Definitely Searching for Love!

Hopefully everyone got a lot of rest over the weekend, and are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the upcoming week, because there are a few things of interest this week.

But first, some changes of note in the house!

First: there is a giant rectangular box on the living room table, addressed to Lessing. It is a care package. The only thing in it is his sword.

There is some Bauernbrot bread on the counter. Ask Lessing about that too.

There is now a hot tub near the pool. It’s large enough to seat about six teens comfortably, but you can get more in there if you really try for some reason.

Okay I think that’s everything. Additionally, Tsukasa is here early this week! He’s looking pretty perky, seemingly recovered from the Match Ceremony, and he’s got some interesting info to share with everyone.

Oh, are you — not playing? No big deal, if so...

No! I'm playing! [She doesn't a little squeaky.] I just didn't plan ahead for if it landed on me! I forget it could do that.

[So she's a little surprised that she's ended up playing the very game she proposed...]

[ Kat is a bit airheaded, huh... ]

Well, like I said, it's fine if you change your mind... [ She sounds squeaky!? ] You're sure you're just surprised?

[Well... maybe when you can fly, a little bit of air gets in through your ears?

It's just incredibly easy to distract her because so much of her whole heart goes into whatever's keeping her attention at the time.]

Yes, really! Who wouldn't wanna get a kiss from you, Josuke?

[ DIES A LITTLE INSIDE ]

W... Well, don't say it like that...!

[ Please... normally when girls say things like that to him, it's from classmates who hardly know who he is, and only like the idea of him. This is different...! His face turns beet red, and when he speaks, it's more sheepish than him truly wanting to rehect what she's saying. He's flattered... ]

I mean — thanks... seriously. [ Sincerely! ] You're too nice, Kat.

[ He smoothes down the side of his hair, scooting closer. ]

You've played this before?

[Eheheh... Her giggle is bubbly, bright, but just a little self-satisfied, too. Her compliment was genuine. Maybe she isn't completely awkward and does sort of have the hang of this paying compliments thing.]

Nope! At least, I don't think I have. I don't remember what my life was like before, but I kind of feel like I'd have an idea if I spent a lot of time with kids my own age...

[And the most she's really been around kids has been with the younger ones, like the school bus kids. Aside from hanging out with Raven and going undercover at the academy for a little bit, she's been on her own since landing in Hekseville.]

Maybe that's why I was so eager to try it out?

[ KAT IS SO CUTE... PUNCHES WALL ]

Right, you mentioned that...

[ It can be easy to forget that Kat even has amnesia like that; in TV shows, characters with amnesia are usually reserved and distrusting. But Kat's so bubbly and sweet, like an ice cold can of pop... he'd think she was any well-liked, popular girl next door who everyone wants to be friends with. ]

Well — I haven't really played it much either, so we're in the same boat. [ Coming to sit by her side... then, jokingly and nervously: ] Go easy on me if you want three points. Or, I could give you one here...

[ H taps his cheek a bit, his eyes questioning — is that fine?, he seems to be asking. She's probably already gotten the sense by now that Josuke is the polite sort despite his delinquent-y looks; he's pretty gentle and considerate with other people's feelings, and wouldn't ever assume in a game like this. ]

Hehe... Do you want me to go easy on you? [She is...not great at this smooth teasing thing, but Kat inches a little bit closer, leaning in just enough for it to clearly be intentional but not too close that there's no escape.

Then she turns her face a bit to the side, giving him a landing zone for a cheek kiss. He had asked about doing that, so she can only assume that it's what he wants to do. Aside from a little attempted flirtation, she's not here to make anyone do something they don't really want to with someone they don't really want to.]

[ Exasperated and joking: ]

Honestly, a little...

[ Kat is so energetic, he imagines a kiss on the lips from her would be bold, surprising, and delivered with total confidence. She probably wouldn't be half as nervous about as him. Even so, he would've been able to psych himself up for it since it's Kat, and not like... some of the other people in this house, who will remain unnamed.

Nonetheless, this, he can be confident in, especially now that he's done a few others. He leans in, very gently putting his other hand on the opposite cheek to hold her steady, before pressing a firm, soft kiss to the apple of her cheek. It's very warm and plush, and the pressure is comfortable and constant. He lingers for a few seconds, because he's not a coward that'll rip the band-aid off with the world's fastest peck. That would be so insulting??

Anyways, after doing so, he leans back a bit, his touch still feather light on the opposite side of her face. ]

[Oh, that's nice. This was definitely the right option because Josuke moves forward with a nice, reassured confidence that makes it and overall pleasant, warming experience. He's wrong that she wouldn't be nervous about it; when Kat is shy, it just comes out in her energy sometimes. And there's something about not totally knowing how somebody feels about you that makes this kind of thing...hard.

Kat's face continues to burn, and she wiggles a little bit, though not in a way that moves her any farther away from Josuke.]

Eheh... maybe I should have been the one asking you to go easy on me...!
