Welcome to the final match ceremony, where the teens bet everything on what they’ve figured out. Their wishes, their victory all depends on this.

Everyone is led to the same balcony set up as the previous weeks, and are left to get settled. There are cute finger foods and lovely drinks to have, as per usual.

To one side, there's a small stage of sorts, with a podium where the characters will place their hands to lock in their answers.

Wednesday and Ryuji, as well as Ritsuka and Lessing still have their place of honor over to the side, and they’ve now been joined by Mark and Anna. Enjoy chilling over there! The rest of the contestants are ushered to the main seating area to get all settled in.

And, standing in front of the makeshift stage, with a set of six unlit lights behind him and three lit lights, stand the two Co-Overseers. The Tsukasa and Nene fits for the final ceremony! Classy! You all dressed up nicely too, right? Tsukasa is counting on you guys.

Both Nene and Tsukasa take the stage with practiced movements, as if they are very used to stepping onstage together, even though this is the first ceremony where Nene will be taking part.

Tsukasa makes a sweeping gesture to the gathered company, a sincerely bright smile on his face.

"Welcome to the final Match Ceremony. This is it! I hope you are all ready–though, of course, I’m sure that you are.”

He clears his throat, and nods towards the three lit lights.

“You now have three Perfect Match lights–one for Miss Addams and Ryuji, one for Ritsuka and Lessing and one for Mark and Anna. This means that you only need five more to finally succeed.”

He takes a deep breath, and then glances over at Nene, meeting her eyes.

She takes over. Despite her tremulous introduction before, when she’s onstage, she seems to have a professional confidence that was lacking before, voice clear as she continues, "You’ve picked the ones who are going up this week, so this shouldn’t be a surprise… but let’s start.”

Tsukasa nods, and turns his attention to Sanji.

"Sanji, if you please?"

--

Happy Match Ceremony! Each character picking this week will be called up in an order determined by the producers (read: rng'd). Each will get their own sub-toplevel that characters can react to at will.

After the matches have all been locked in, we will then find out just how many you all got right.

THIS IS IT! WE FINALLY MADE IT!

Welcome to your fourth and final week, teens!

There aren’t many changes around the house today: it seems everyone is dialed in on what needs to be done and the upcoming week. Everything that was on the fritz last week is now back to normal, aside from the Dress Up Your Blorbo curse. You can still do that at will.

Anyway, it's fine that all seems quiet.

There’s plenty going on anyway this week.

It’s a nice evening this time–maybe the weather is as mercurial as these teens and their moods? Regardless, it’s breezy but warm, perfectly comfy no matter what they decided to wear.

Everyone is led to the same balcony set up as the previous weeks, and are left to get settled. There are cute finger foods and lovely drinks to have, as per usual.

To one side, there's a small stage of sorts, with a podium where the characters will place their hands to lock in their answers.

And, standing in front of the makeshift stage, with a set of six unlit lights behind him and two lit lights, stands the two Co-Overseers. Here's the fit for the both of them. You all dressed up nicely too, right? Tsukasa is counting on you guys.

Both Nene and Tsukasa take the stage with practiced movements, as if they are very used to stepping onstage together, even though this is the first ceremony where Nene will be taking part.

Tsukasa makes a sweeping gesture to the gathered company, all professional.

"Welcome back to the Match Ceremony. After this, you have one more week to determine everyone’s matches.”

He clears his throat, and nods towards the two lit lights.

“You now have two Perfect Match lights–one for Miss Addams and Sakamoto, and one for Ritsuka and Lessing. This also means that your wishes are safe this week--even if you do not find any other matches."

He takes a deep breath, and then glances over at Nene, meeting her eyes.

She takes over. Despite her tremulous introduction before, when she’s onstage, she seems to have a professional confidence that was lacking before, voice clear as she continues, "Team Wonder, it’s time to begin. Higashikata-san, please come up to the stage.”

Happy Match Ceremony! Each character on Team Wonder will be called up in an order determined by the producers (read: rng'd). Each will get their own sub-toplevel that characters can react to at will.

So, uh.

Welcome to Week Three! We’ve officially passed the halfway point, and after a super, duper successful Match Ceremony, I’m sure the teens are feeling all hyped up and raring to go.

Right?

Regardless, there are a few changes this Monday morning to greet the teens:

  • First off, there is a new bathroom! Oooh, aaaahhhh. Three whole bathrooms in the house for the teens now. Enjoy.
  • There is also a set of video games in the living room to connect to the TV. They are pretty much all multiplayer party games like M*rio C*rt. Don’t kill each other.
  • There are a few packs of dorayaki now scattered around the house.
  • There is also a piano now in the living room!
  • On the counter in the kitchen, there is also some paper and writing implements, like basic ballpoint pens. Wait, doesn’t that break the rules?

Tsukasa’s extremely loud and obnoxious voice is not here to greet you guys this morning, which means it seems there isn’t a Task for the week–

But something else seems to be going on.

The weather is a bit chillier for this week's match ceremony, especially given it's evening, but everyone is still led to the balcony with the same general set up. Bring a coat. Cuddle close with your bestie/love interest. There are, at least, also hot drinks to enjoy while things get chaotic, on a small table in front of the couches.

To one side, there's a small stage of sorts, with a podium where the characters will place their hands to lock in their answers.

Wednesday and Ryuji still have their place of honor over to the side, and the rest of the contestants are ushered to the main seating area to get all settled in.

And, standing in front of the makeshift stage, with a set of seven unlit lights behind him and one lit light, stands the Overseer. Here's the fit. You all dressed up nicely too, right? He's counting on you guys. Regardless, there isn't a moment's hesitation before he takes the stage, looking very determined.

A sweeping gesture to the gathered company.

"Welcome back. You've all spent the past week getting to know each other better and learning what you can about each other. It is time now to see if that has paid off!"

He clears his throat, and nods towards the one still-lit light from last week.

"This light represents your found Perfect Match, Sakamoto and Miss Addams. It is up to you to light the remainder."

He takes a deep breath, closing his eyes for a moment. It's fine. This is fine. Surely........... this will be fine.

"We will begin this week with Team Showtime." And, for better or for worse, this is the ordered list he's been given, so:

"Akechi, we will start with you. Would you come up and choose your match?"

--

Happy Match Ceremony! Each character on Team Showtime will be called up in an order determined by the producers (read: rng'd). Each will get their own sub-toplevel that characters can react to at will.

After the matches have all been locked in, we will then find out just how many you all got right.

A note: After the chaos of the last match ceremony, "security" has been upped. This means that the anti-violence measures in place are much stricter. Any of the following may happen if violence towards other characters is attempted:
  • Your character will bounce off of the character they are attempting to attack like they are rubber
  • Your character will end up in appropriate anti-violence garb (such as very plush mittens to prevent punching)
  • Your character will end up in a Get-Along shirt with the target character
Whichever is the most fun for everyone involved is entirely viable! Please use this power for chaos and stupidity.

Also: property damage is welcomed in all ways. The furniture and drinks and etc are not safe from the wrath of the teens.

Otherwise, feel free to use this log for reactions/toplevels for pre- and post-ceremony, and anything else you please. The world of reality TV dating is yours to embrace.

Welcome to week two, Teens Who Are Definitely Searching for Love!

Hopefully everyone got a lot of rest over the weekend, and are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the upcoming week, because there are a few things of interest this week.

But first, some changes of note in the house!
First: there is a giant rectangular box on the living room table, addressed to Lessing. It is a care package. The only thing in it is his sword.

There is some Bauernbrot bread on the counter. Ask Lessing about that too.

There is now a hot tub near the pool. It’s large enough to seat about six teens comfortably, but you can get more in there if you really try for some reason.

Okay I think that’s everything. Additionally, Tsukasa is here early this week! He’s looking pretty perky, seemingly recovered from the Match Ceremony, and he’s got some interesting info to share with everyone.

The weather is temperate and mild for the match ceremony on this fine Saturday evening, and the crew leads everyone onto a balcony with a cute seating set-up of couches and love-seats. The vibes are Trendy. There are enough places to sit for everyone, but there are only two single chairs, so everyone else is gonna have to cozy up on the couch. Or you can cuddle up in the chairs. I’m not your mom. Also there is only one egg seat. There's mood lighting, like fairy lights.

To one side, there's a small stage of sorts, with a podium where the characters will place their hands to lock in their answers.

Wednesday and Ryuji are led off to the other side so that they can take a seat of honor over on a comfy couch to one side--close to the other contestants, but just far enough away that it's clear they're getting special treatment. Don't you wanna go to the Honeymoon Suite now? Huh???

Anyway.

There are non-alcoholic drinks for people to take at will (all the better to catch spittakes on camera), and the weather is breezy and nice.

And, standing in front of the makeshift stage, with a set of seven unlit lights behind him and one lit light, stands the Overseer. He is dressed the part, of course. He also... looks tired for a moment, but he snaps back to his Proper Hostly Character as soon as the cameras are properly on them and everyone is settled in.

He presses a hand to his chest, sweeping the other outwards.

"Welcome, everyone, to your first Match Ceremony!"

He beams, all classic Tsukasa Sparkles. "As your host, allow me to explain how this will work."

For... the audience mostly. Maybe also for Ryuji? He's not sure how many of the contestants still don't know. It's fine.

"The lights behind me represent each Perfect Match. If--no, when you manage to light every single one, you'll have won, and you will all receive your wishes. For each Perfect Match you find at this ceremony, a light will be lit! And it is your task to figure out which pairs led to those lights appearing."

He nods firmly, eyes and expression shining with confidence in the competitors sitting before him. "And you do not even have to worry about losing a wish this week! It isn't possible for you to have a blackout, since Miss Addams and Sakamoto were a Perfect Match. Congratulations!"

Get on with it, Tsukasa. He clears his throat, pauses just long enough for there to be an inevitable easy cut to commercial break when they edit this later, and then:

"We will begin this week with Team Wonder."

He extends his hand to Dorothea, the other pressed over his heart. "If the lovely Miss Arnault would come up to start us off...?"

Looks like it’s the moment of truth, so strap in.

--

The ceremony has finally arrived! Each character on Team Wonder will be called up in an order determined by the producers (read: rng'd). Each will get their own sub-toplevel that characters can react to at will.

After the matches have all been locked in, we will then find out just how many you all got right.

Otherwise, feel free to use this log for reactions/toplevels for pre- and post-ceremony, and anything else you please. The world of reality TV dating is yours to embrace.

The characters arrive in various vehicles suiting their canon (maybe a limo, maybe a chocobo), and are dropped off in front of a a lovely house in the middle of a big city. It’s tucked away behind some tall fencing, so that nobody can snoop on the production of the show, but nonetheless sounds of the city around them filter in. They each are able to bring one suitcase with stuff in it, which includes whatever clothing they want to bring (and Kat gets to bring her cat).

Welcome to your new home for the next couple of weeks!

From the moment you step into the house, the cameras are on you, recording your every move and word. Guess that’s something you’ll have to get used to.

And then there’s a young man, around your age, spreading his arms wide with a grin. You've probably met him for your interview already, or maybe that'll happen later, but either way? He is loud.

"Ha ha ha! Welcome to your new home, everyone! Settle in, settle in, don’t be shy! I–"

He is then ushered away by some of the production staff, where they argue in hushed whispers over whether or not he got overexcited and jumped in before his cue. Well. You can probably talk to that guy again later. Don’t worry about it.

Regardless, time to settle in! A few things of note about your new abode:

  • There’s only one bedroom, which you will all be sharing.
  • The bedroom has sets of bunk beds.
  • Keen-eyed characters will note that there are not enough beds for everyone. There are only 13 beds.
  • There is a weird pillow that is specifically made for Lessing’s horns. Don’t steal it from him. Or do, I’m not your mom.
  • The kitchen is well-stocked with all sorts of ingredients to make whatever you might miss from home.
  • There is a cheesy banner strung up over the living room that says WELCOME, THOSE WHO SEARCH FOR LOVE. It’s sparkly.
  • Also in the living room is a screen which displays everyone’s profiles. It’s a touch screen, so you can swipe through and view all of them.
  • There is cake to celebrate your arrival!

Time to get to know each other! Or stake your claim on a bed, or make lunch, or go swimming–whatever your little teen hearts desire! Remember, the name of the game is finding your perfect match, so… time to start that romance speed run!

hi friends..............

this is very short term notice so no pressure if you can't play! But this is an interest check for Are You The One: Teens 2.0.

I am planning on running it in November--November 9 to December 8th, with Thanksgiving as a dead week/chill cr building week where people don't have to be around. But we've got a little bit of wiggle room re: pushing it back a week or up a week if that works better for everyone.

I'll run it for a small group no problem if not everyone can make that timing work, but the player cap max is 16.

LET'S SEE WHAT ELSE... if you're new to the ayto format, take a gander over at the general faq and the specific ayto mechanics faq. If you want to look at how the gameplay works more in depth, a previous round is here! Teen round specifically calls for teen characters between the ages of 16 and 19, so keep that in mind!

As a note, if you think it's really up in the air if you can commit or not, please let me know asap so I can invite someone else! We do have some interested people waiting in the wings, so if you don't fully believe you can commit to this round, please let us know so we can give others a chance if there are openings. You've been sent this link because I'd love for you to play in the game, but don't feel pressured to play just because of that--there's always next round!

OKAY THAT IS ALL THANKS FRIENDOS

LOOK, A FORM:

OH AND RESERVES ARE HERE FOR WHEN YOU'RE READY. And the link to the discord server is here!

I added it late so don't worry I will also come chase people down as they reserve to send it
