Welcome to week two, Teens Who Are Definitely Searching for Love!

Hopefully everyone got a lot of rest over the weekend, and are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the upcoming week, because there are a few things of interest this week.

But first, some changes of note in the house!

First: there is a giant rectangular box on the living room table, addressed to Lessing. It is a care package. The only thing in it is his sword.

There is some Bauernbrot bread on the counter. Ask Lessing about that too.

There is now a hot tub near the pool. It’s large enough to seat about six teens comfortably, but you can get more in there if you really try for some reason.

Okay I think that’s everything. Additionally, Tsukasa is here early this week! He’s looking pretty perky, seemingly recovered from the Match Ceremony, and he’s got some interesting info to share with everyone.

[ Not the right move then. He looks a little embarrassed at his own party game faux pas. ]

I'll come to you.

[ He's pushing himself up to move across the circle towards her. ]

[ She offers him a reassuring smile as she scoots a bit to give him room. ]

It's kind of a matter of preference. I'm on the shorter side, so with the guys, I try to be at least a little more on their level like this.

[ He'll settle down near her, a little awkward as he shuffles himself into the seemingly best position. ]

I don't mind leaning down.

[singurarity]

[ A soft, huffed-out laugh. ]

Okay. I'll keep that in mind if I'm standing next time.

[ An hum of acknowledgement, but he's quiet for a moment here. With Anna it was easy because he swerved and kissed her hand when she offered it. With Ritsuka he isn't planning on doing that, but he also isn't exactly some kind of kissing expert here.

This may shock everyone to know, but Lessing has never dated before, and has very little romantic experience.

So give him a moment as he fidgets for another few seconds to try and make it as not awkward as possible while instead making it as awkward as possible. ]

[ In his defense, this game is only for the Bold and everyone else gets some level of awkward and embarrassed, Ritsuka included. If it was her, she would probably just Go For It, to act swiftly before nerves got the better of her, but Lessing's a little more preparatory. So, to make this easier on him... hm.

She closes her eyes. Maybe it'll be easier on him if he doesn't have her looking directly at him. ]

[ Her eyes being closed does make it a smidgen easier in a way he realizes is irrational, but...

But regardless.

Lessing rests his hand on the side of her face, his palm warm against her cheek. There's a few seconds where he stays like that, before he lets his own eyes flutter shut, and he leans forward to press his lips lightly against hers.

All things told, it's a pretty chaste kiss, though he does let it linger for a moment. ]

[ Actually, closing her eyes makes it harder? On her?? Because she's braced for it when his palm cups her cheek, but then he doesn't immediately go for it and Ritsuka has to sit and wait quietly for him to actually kiss her and what if she opens her eyes at the precise minute he goes for it--

She doesn't. She keeps them shut, so it's a surprise when he does kiss her, but it's very light and it lingers long enough that she can carefully press back into it to kiss him back.

Her face is definitely pink when she opens her eyes again, leaning back. ]

That--wasn't so bad, right?

[ Weirdly, having done it and not having fucked it up, Lessing looks calmer now, more at ease. ]

Not at all.

[ It was simple, but nice. He will finally lower his hand so Ritsuka can have her face back. ]

[ Thanks for that. ]

I was worried you might have been thinking about it too hard, but you look a lot better now.

[ Which, kind of unfair. Because she's still blushing. ]

[ Sorry, Ritsuka. She must how suffer so he can be at ease. ]

Things are always easier for me if I just go ahead and act.

[ Whether the outcome is good or bad, though fortunately this one was decidedly not bad. ]

Well, I can't say I don't get that...

[ It's a valid method. ]

[ He hums in a quiet agreement. It sure is, though he's not entirely unaware of her plight here. She is notably pinker than usual. ]

Are you alright though?

[singurarity]

[ She just lowers her face into her hands. ]

I'm fine. I'm not immune to being kissed by a cute person.

[ He's not entirely certain what he should be saying to that one. She's said it already, so he's more braced for it this time at least. ]

It's not something you have to apologize for! I'll recover!

[ She's just shaking her head, slowly lifting her face from her palms. Her bangs are a little mussed now from the gesture, but she's never really cared about something like that in the first place. ]

No, it's okay. I'm good now.

[ Alright, then she's fine with him reaching over to smooth them out for her, right?

He should probably be less casual about things like this when she's trying to pull herself together, but he's not used to being aware of any effect he might have on people, because he doesn't usually have effects on people. ]

If you're sure.

[ Lessing. Lessing, could you not. She just recovered, and her cheeks go warm again as soon as he reaches out and makes hair contact, but Ritsuka is a pro at laughing sheepishly like it ain't no big deal. ]

Did it look that bad?

[counton]

[ He won't comment about it at least. ]

Not really. It was obvious, but I wouldn't say it looked bad.
