Welcome to week two, Teens Who Are Definitely Searching for Love!

Hopefully everyone got a lot of rest over the weekend, and are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the upcoming week, because there are a few things of interest this week.

But first, some changes of note in the house!

First: there is a giant rectangular box on the living room table, addressed to Lessing. It is a care package. The only thing in it is his sword.

There is some Bauernbrot bread on the counter. Ask Lessing about that too.

There is now a hot tub near the pool. It’s large enough to seat about six teens comfortably, but you can get more in there if you really try for some reason.

Okay I think that’s everything. Additionally, Tsukasa is here early this week! He’s looking pretty perky, seemingly recovered from the Match Ceremony, and he’s got some interesting info to share with everyone.

Back home? ... No, I wasn't really focused on that kind of thing before.

[ One ear automatically twitches back as Lessing looks genuinely surprised by that comment. ]

The number of people who actually have some idea of their type 'cause of someone they liked before is so few, Lessing-san. Most of them are like you, and have never thought about it. Do you know how hard that makes my job?

[ her "job" she's not taking that title seriously don't worry. but she is doing her absolute best. ]

There's nothing wrong with that, mind, I really respect people who've got their life going somewhere, I'm just not trying to think about that until I have to write it out in my third year.

You've found someone you wanted to match with already though, right? You probably don't have to worry about it so much.

Oh, I don't! But I wanna help everyone else. You're all my friends, so I wanna make sure you all leave this place happy and with wishes! And maybe love!

I know.

[ and so humble, too. but she'll take another slice of bread and look through the fridge for some cheese... what would go good with it. swiss? swiss usually goes well with stuff. or-- no, it's got a kind of tang to it, swiss might make that overpowering... she's giving it heavy thought. ]

... I just think everyone deserves to love and be loved, in whatever form that takes. You know, a little bit of a bonus to go with their main goal. And because I'm a total normie compared to everyone else, so my biggest problem include upcoming tests.

Even still, I'm sure you have some kind of wish too, don't you?

I have to think of anyway for when we win, but all I can think about is wishing for some way to keep in touch. Like, Tsukasa-kun's probably from my world, but the others? I don't know. Josuke-kun could be, but he's... from before I was even born?

[ Well now that one gives him pause. Different worlds aren't such a strange concept to him, and in a way different times aren't either... he just wasn't really expecting that here. ]

If they can bring us all here, they should be able to grant a wish like that.

Right? I don't think it's too much to ask.

[ probably. interdimensional cellphones or whatever didn't seem too futuristic, though some of them might need to get used to it... thinking about josuke trying to deal with a touch phone when he didn't even know flips makes her giggle. ]

What about you, Lessing-san? What're you gonna do with yours?

[ It's a reasonable question to ask, but his expression falls into something unreadable. He knows that the pleasant conversation is about to come to a screeching halt, but... ]

I have a friend that has a condition there is no cure to. I'm not sure this wish they're offering will actually be able to help him, but I figured it couldn't hurt to try.

... This what they call a two nickel situation?

[ jeez, talk about funny. not haha funny, just... funny. anna glances away a moment, then back to lessing. ]

There's someone else here who's got some pretty similar circumstances to you, but they're not really interested in the wish, I think -- it definitely can't hurt to try, and even if it doesn't like, work out the way you want it to, maybe the wish'll give you something useful to crack that cold case? Sorry about your friend though, dude.

Honestly, insert any coin used on Earth into that and he'd have the same confusion, but he won't focus on that right now. The fact that someone is in the same boat as him is sad to hear. ]

It might... Either way, my friend isn't doing that badly right now. There's still time even if nothing comes out of this.
