Welcome to week two, Teens Who Are Definitely Searching for Love!

Hopefully everyone got a lot of rest over the weekend, and are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the upcoming week, because there are a few things of interest this week.

But first, some changes of note in the house!

First: there is a giant rectangular box on the living room table, addressed to Lessing. It is a care package. The only thing in it is his sword.

There is some Bauernbrot bread on the counter. Ask Lessing about that too.

There is now a hot tub near the pool. It’s large enough to seat about six teens comfortably, but you can get more in there if you really try for some reason.

Okay I think that’s everything. Additionally, Tsukasa is here early this week! He’s looking pretty perky, seemingly recovered from the Match Ceremony, and he’s got some interesting info to share with everyone.

Both of the pairs I thought were most likely have turned out to be. . . well. Wrong.

So I don't think my instincts mean much at this point.

We're learning more by the week.

[ patting his shoulder. ]

So I'd still like to hear you out.

[. . . he shakes his head, like he doesn't want to say it aloud]

[ ???? ]

Would whispering it help?

. . . it's too complicated for a whisper.

[shakes his head]

[ Mysterious. ]

[willandaway]

[MYSTERIOUS!!]

[it's late when Will seeks her out, and he tries to make sure no one else is around when he does. where are you Ritsuka, can he have a moment alone]

[ Probably stretching out by the pool.

[he wordlessly walks up to her, taking a seat at her side, and just. . . lets out the DEEPEST EXHALE he can to announce his presence]

[ A blink, glancing over at him. ]

Were you holding that in all day?

[willandaway]

Maybe.

[yes :(]

What's wrong?

[ why so deflated, my dude?? ]

[willandaway]

[drawing one knee up to his chest, resting his chin against it as he hooks his hands at his shin]

. . . why do you think Minami and I aren't a match?

[singurarity]

[waits patiently for her to elaborate]

[ sigh why must you be british ]

I think you're someone who could accept him and appreciate him, kind of, for who he is. But I don't think you could place him first. And I'm not entirely sure he'd be okay with that. Or, I mean, he might now, with Tsukasa, but these matches were determined before all of that happened.

But mostly it just doesn't feel like the connection's very strong. So that part's mostly just a hunch.

[willandaway]

[it's his lot in life]

. . . I think you're right. Our connection isn't very strong. I'm not sure he even likes me very much.

[a small sigh escapes his lips as he leans back on his hands, gaze lifting up towards the sky. the stars are out tonight again. . .]

But I don't know if that matters in the long run.

So if you're asking me this, do you think you're a match?

[ Rather calmly. ]

[quiet for a long moment]

I think. . . [hesitation] It's a possibility.

[singurarity]

... You could have a little faith in me and Lessing, you know.

[willandaway]

[he looks back at her, eyes widening slightly, brows raised]

Ritsuka. . . are you offended?
