Welcome to week two, Teens Who Are Definitely Searching for Love!

Hopefully everyone got a lot of rest over the weekend, and are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the upcoming week, because there are a few things of interest this week.

But first, some changes of note in the house!

First: there is a giant rectangular box on the living room table, addressed to Lessing. It is a care package. The only thing in it is his sword.

There is some Bauernbrot bread on the counter. Ask Lessing about that too.

There is now a hot tub near the pool. It’s large enough to seat about six teens comfortably, but you can get more in there if you really try for some reason.

Okay I think that’s everything. Additionally, Tsukasa is here early this week! He’s looking pretty perky, seemingly recovered from the Match Ceremony, and he’s got some interesting info to share with everyone.

I agree, I think it could be me and Mark, too. We're pretty similar.

[ They're both protector types, both mild mannered and both mama's boys. There's the saving people trauma too, but he's not about to put Mark on blast in front of everyone. ]

Then again, Ryuji and Wednesday are really different, and they're the only match we have to go off of. I think Dorothea could be a good match for Sanji, too, but I'd like to see what they have to say about it.

[She, for him? Shouldn't it be the other way around? It's not like she has anything to prove where he's concerned.]

I think so, too. [That he and Dorothea could be a good match. Of course, if she disagrees, he'll rescind this right away.] It's not perfect, but our preferences align pretty well.

Anyway, he's surprised he doesn't call Dorothea a goddess of love or something along those lines, considering how Sanji described Wednesday to him on day one. ]

Really? She picked you, I thought you'd be ecstatic.

[ He's joking. Kind of. ]

Think she'll be down to go to the booth?

[He makes a slight face, though it's nothing truly offended. Is Josuke insinuating that he wasn't honored by Dorothea's choice? Perish the thought.]

Of course I was! I still am.

[Words can't capture what he felt at the ceremony when she picked him. It's easier to digest than the alternatives, too. Dorothea wants a giver; Sanji can do that, even if he's not good for anything else.]

But that's up to her. I'm not going to force her into doing anything.

[ He'd have to beat the shit out of you if you did, Sanji... ]

It's not like I can vote for myself and Mark, anyway, so if the two of you agree to it, you'll have my vote.

Sure, but I think things are leaning your way. Unless Dorothea has a problem with it...

[ But she seems pretty easy going and down to earth!

But you think it could be the two of you, right? That should count for something, too.

It could be, yeah. I don't wanna say it's for certain or anything... and to be honest, there's still a lot I don't know about him.

[ He doesn't mind elaborating to Sanji... he unlocked his cannibalism trauma, they have a bond. ]

But we get along great, and we have the same principles. That's as good a sign as I can ask for, at this point in the competition.

Getting along is always good.]

Makes sense. If the rest of the matches are anything like Wednesday and Ryuji, both parties should complement each other. It wouldn't make sense for one to overwhelm the other.

I don't think all matches are likely to be decided in the same way. Ryuji and Wednesday are opposites, but perhaps that is what each of them needs

Someone else. . . they might need someone with similar priorities to them.

Every individual is different. Every pairing should be, too.

I guess that's true. It's only natural to try to look for a pattern in all this, though...

[ Because the producers had to have some kind of strategy in putting them all together, right? There has to be some consistency, at least when he thinks about it from a purely logical standpoint. ]

Sounds like people are starting to lean towards Sanji and Dorothea though, so we'll see.
