Welcome to week two, Teens Who Are Definitely Searching for Love!

Hopefully everyone got a lot of rest over the weekend, and are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the upcoming week, because there are a few things of interest this week.

But first, some changes of note in the house!

First: there is a giant rectangular box on the living room table, addressed to Lessing. It is a care package. The only thing in it is his sword.

There is some Bauernbrot bread on the counter. Ask Lessing about that too.

There is now a hot tub near the pool. It’s large enough to seat about six teens comfortably, but you can get more in there if you really try for some reason.

Okay I think that’s everything. Additionally, Tsukasa is here early this week! He’s looking pretty perky, seemingly recovered from the Match Ceremony, and he’s got some interesting info to share with everyone.

[ IN HOT PURSUIT. Of Fou, not Sanji. Sorry. ]

[This sounds about right. Sanji's head swivels back and forth before he sets the tray down on the nearest surface and rushes inside to chase after them.]

Where did he go?!

The kitchen!!

[ Hopefully there's no food left out... ]

[hgeegh]

[There is. He only brought a handful of snacks with him earlier. The rest are on the counter.]

Hey!

[Don't shake soap onto the food!]

[singurarity]

[ Oh. Yeah, that would be a disaster.

Ritsuka will sacrifice a lot for food, and that includes herself in this instance, so before Fou can leap for the counter, she's lunging in a flying tackle.

This does mean she crashes unceremoniously into the side of the counter instead, but. The food is safe!

And the Fou is secured!! ]

[hgeegh]

[She lunged?!

Sanji rushes after her, hands out and ready to help her straighten from the leap if she needs it.]

Ritsuka! Are you okay?

[singurarity]

Did... did the food survive?!

[ Ow, her head. ]

[hgeegh]

It did!

And there's still more outside, so you can have those. Let's go back before something else happens.

[singurarity]

[ She slowly sits up, clambering to her feet with Fou held unhappily to her chest. ]

Close call... that was almost a disaster.

[hgeegh]

Sorry . . . I couldn't stop him from getting away.

[He'll make up for it by getting the door as they head back ourside.]

Is he yours?

[singurarity]

More like a partner than a pet. This little guy and I have been through a lot!

[ Fondly, even as she carries him back outside to plunk him in the basin. ]

So don't worry about him getting past you. He's pretty fast.

[hgeegh]

[Sanji finds himself feeling a little envious of Fou . . . ]

Hmm . . . What is he?

[singurarity]

Great question. He's Fou.

[ We can't go into detail about Fou. It's for the best. ]

[hgeegh]

[Maybe it's for the best that they leave it at that.]

Has he eaten?

[singurarity]

This morning?

[ But he will always take a snack, Sanji-- ]

[hgeegh]

[This furball likes to eat as much as the girls, huh.

Sanji nods, then straightens. He supposes he can spare a snack for Fou after the rest of the latter's bath as a reward. Maybe that'll stop him from running amuck with soap and water all over. He walks away to let Ritsuka finish that up before returning with the tray he set down earlier nearby.]

If he wants, he can have one, too.

[ She's now toweling him off, so as soon as she lifts the towel, Fou trots over to begin happily eating. ]

How's it been going for you so far, Sanji?

[hgeegh]

[Hey, ladies first.

Now that he can finally have a proper conversation with Ritsuka, however, he's instantly in a better mood.]

Good. Thanks for asking. How about you, Ritsuka?

So far, so good! I've got to really start working on this scavenger thing, though... I feel like some people might not want to do too much with it.

[ Just a hunch. ]

[hgeegh]

[ . . . Guilty as charged.]

I was thinking that, too. Should we do a task together?

[singurarity]

Definitely! How's yours look?

[hgeegh]

It's coming along, but I still have a ways to go. [He pulls out the sheet and unfolds it to show her. He hasn't done any three-point tasks, and his completed tasks are evenly distributed across two and one.] Question is, what do you want to do?

[singurarity]

... Three-pointer.

[ Briskly. ]

We're gonna need as many people to get points as we can get, right?

[hgeegh]

Yeah.

[Still, a three-pointer . . . He turns the sheet around, lips twitching at the lap pillow task, and promptly lowers it.]

Are you sure? Some of these are pretty heavy.

[Maybe they should go for the lap pillow, after all—]

I can do it. If you want to have me help out with one of the two-point ones, that's fine with me.

[ He won't have to get too uncomfortable here. ]
