Welcome to week two, Teens Who Are Definitely Searching for Love!

Hopefully everyone got a lot of rest over the weekend, and are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the upcoming week, because there are a few things of interest this week.

But first, some changes of note in the house!

First: there is a giant rectangular box on the living room table, addressed to Lessing. It is a care package. The only thing in it is his sword.

There is some Bauernbrot bread on the counter. Ask Lessing about that too.

There is now a hot tub near the pool. It’s large enough to seat about six teens comfortably, but you can get more in there if you really try for some reason.

Okay I think that’s everything. Additionally, Tsukasa is here early this week! He’s looking pretty perky, seemingly recovered from the Match Ceremony, and he’s got some interesting info to share with everyone.

Well, don't just sniff at it! Give it a try! I've been working all week to nail the spice blend, but it was harder than I thought...

[ though it'll have a similar enough kick, it might be a tad bit on the earthier side... ]

And... rice is more common as a side for stuff like this in Japan, so... I made some of that instead of vegetables, since it'd keep better anyway, and I'm really good at making it super fluffy...

[he needs no further encouragement than that! the fork is in his hand seconds later as he scoops up a big bite of rice and chicken, devouring it like a man who hasn't eaten in. . . well. weeks]

[it is different. of course it is-- nobody could match Miss Fabienne's recipe, especially with different ingredients. but even though it's different. . . it's still amazing. a dish that stands out in and of itself]

[his expression lights up as he chews, and his response is probably more than enough to get across what he is thinking]

Mmmmmm-- [MOUTH FULL CAN'T TALK BUT THOSE ARE DELICIOUS NOISES]

... You're almost as dramatic as Sanji-kun. [ a laugh more in her words than at him. ] He shed real tears when I made him breakfast as thanks for lending me a hand -- just advising and company.

it does make her happy, beaming at his enthusiasm. cooking is love, sanji had said -- and she had put her heart into it, her gratitude and adoration. ]

[cooking is love in Will's mind, too. a bonding experience, a way to share time and heart with someone you care about. he tastes that in the single bite of Anna's dish, and once he has swallowed. . . he beams]

Do you miss home?

[he does, just a little bit, but not terribly much. being here has been far too exciting for that]

A little. Everyone here is really great, but I wanna talk to my friends again.

[ simple as that. ]

It feels like if I miss a day with them I'm missing a week's worth of new developments. Nevermind a month.

It sounds like they're going to have a novel's worth of things to tell you when you see them again.

Right? And if they leave out a single detail, I'll tickle them to death!

It'll probably get worse the longer I'm away, but it's been so fun here I only think about it when I'm talking to someone and I think "gosh, Lemon-chan would really get on with this person!" or "Komari-chan would really be into what's going on right now, for some reason!"... Nukumizu-kun would hate it here. I think his perfect match would be the bathroom.

[ shoutout to nukumizu love u babe you're michael in the bathroom for real ]

What's Nukumizu like? You've mentioned him before.

He's a good, dumb guy that doesn't know how to treat a girl the way she wants to be treated, but sticks up for his friends and does his best even if he hates being the center of attention -- the sort of person you could probably fall in love with on his actions alone, even though he's pretty plain faced and irritating.

[ there's a fondness in her voice though, a friendly sort. the kind will had when speaking of his own companions. ]

Nukumizu-kun... is totally hopeless. You can teach an old dog new tricks, but he's definitely not learning any lessons. Oh, he'd definitely wanna keep out of everyone's way and live peacefully just in the background, but he's easy enough to get along with that he'd end up being at the center of stuff.

[the fondness in her tone. . . it makes him smile, because it does remind him of the way he spoke of his party back home. people you can rely on. . . no matter how silly they may be. looking at you, Hulkenberg]

I know. It's been three times the size of a normal girl's since the day I was born.

They're there for you as much as you are them. [that much is clear] That kind of support. . . it's invaluable, isn't it?

Absolutely! I can't imagine not having them in my life now -- even though Nukumizu-kun and Komari-chan are not the kinda people I ever would've thought to befriend in the first place... it just happened that we met. Like you and me.
