week two | dates
You worked up your courage and asked someone out on a date! Good job!
Now you have to hope the producers are kind re: where they send you.

Ritsuka blinks, slowly. ]
Have you told her all this?
no subject
Of course I have. It doesn't make sense to keep it from her.
[. . . well, he told her that he admired how much of a go-getter she was. . . and that it was his favorite trait of hers. close enough!!]

[ Spoken like a sage master?? ]

[. . .]
But I sure am talking a lot about myself, here.

[ It's tragic. ]

[he holds up a pair of vintage aviators, his lips curving into a smile as he hands them to her]
We can talk about how nice you might look in these.
no subject
[ She accepts them, slipping them on and striking a Dynamic Pose. ]
How do I look? Flashy?
no subject
Very cool.
no subject
[ Okay, nerd. ]
no subject
You definitely should. I already bought something, so it's your turn.
[and they need souvenirs to commemorate this day!]
no subject
[ Well, they're fun. So yes she'll go buy them. ]
Okay! We've got a lot more to knock out! Onwards, Will!!
no subject
[time to move on to another booth! perhaps. . . a snack booth?]
Should we buy souvenirs for everyone else back at the house, too?
no subject
[ We can hit up a few different booths. ]
no subject
Something savory, then. . . maybe some meatballs?
[that feels like a snack-y food]
no subject
[ ... Can he eat meat, actually--huh. ]
But it looks like they've got some fresh bread, too.
no subject
[quietly]
Ritsuka. . . isn't it considered cruel to call a clemar a sheep or a goat?
no subject
[ She has no idea what that is. ]
no subject
I don't think they're sensitive about their horns, but I don't think they'd appreciate being compared to an animal.
no subject
[ Holding out a hand! ]
What's a clemar?
no subject
Lessing is one, isn't he? People with horns.
no subject
[ Mysterious. ]

I see. . . [a beat] I'm sorry, then. It's just. . . [a pause] . . . taking some adjusting for me, to learn that everyone here doesn't know anything about the eight tribes.
no subject
[ Earnestly. ]

[at the snacks booth he is picking up a few bags of cookies, purchasing them without much fanfare. but this booth seems to be mostly sweets, so. . .! on to find a booth of savory snacks!]
There are eight tribes in euchronia. Nine, technically, but I'll get to that in a bit. All of them can be distinguished based on physical features. The clemar have horns-- they're the most populous and respected tribe. Next are the roussainte, who have pointed ears. They're just as populous as the clemar, and are respected more for their physical prowess than anything else.
[. . .]
The paripus are the third most populous tribe. . . almost as common as the clemar and roussainte. They have animal ears-- dogs, cats, lions. . . and so on. But for some reason, they're looked down upon. Not many people would care to give a paripus the time of the day, let alone stop to help them on the street if they were suffering.
. . . do you understand so far?
no subject
[ A pause. It's clear she's been listening intently. ]
Yep, I think I've got it so far.
