week four | dates
You worked up your courage and asked someone out on a date! Good job!
Now you have to hope the producers are kind re: where they send you.

[he gives an apologetic look to the attendants, before allowing himself to be (blessedly) dragged away by Anna. thank you for saving him from trying to buy something he can't afford]
I wouldn't go into debt. . .
[how would u pay for it, boy]

[ don't worry about it. she squeezes his hand, then readjusts so she's holding onto his arm too. ]
... This is enough anyway. You can get me something when we hit half a year together, if you really want.
no subject
Half a year. . . [. . . firm nod!] All right. After six months, I'll remember.
[to get her another pretty necklace. or maybe a bracelet? it'll still be too early for a ring, he thinks. . . that's okay. that one is going to be a few years down the line; he knows it]

anna's keeping her eye out for any interesting menswear shops she wants to check out anyway. maybe the crew'll pity her and her fashionless boyfriend and grant her enough for an outfit. ]
... Your six months are gonna be shorter than mine, you know.
[ damn. their relationship's first hurdle is anniversary dates. ]

[he has to think about this. . .]
Are there thirty days in your months, too?
no subject
... On average. It's about half 'n half on if it's thirty or thirty-one, I guess, except there's twenty-eight in February unless it's a leap year, and then it's twenty-nine...
no subject
That sounds confusing. . . how do you remember which months have thirty days and which have thirty-one?
[DUMB!! YOUR SILLY 7-DAY WEEK CALENDAR SYSTEM IS FLAWED!!]
Every month has 30 days, or six weeks. December has seven weeks, and the last five are Idlesweek. The holiday I told you about.
In total, that's 365 days per year.
no subject
You just shove your extra days into the last month?! We have the same amount of days in the year, except on leap years when we have 366.
[ is that it???????? hello????????? ]
Ugh! Okay, so, there's like, some saying to remember the months that do! Gimme a sec...
[ ... what was it... ]
Thirty days has... September, April, June, and November; all the rest have thirty-one. February's twenty-eight -- the leap year, which comes every four, gives it one day more. Or something like that.
no subject
I still don't get it. What's the point of having it so inconsistent?
[whoever made this calendar just made it way too complicated]
no subject
[ not a damn clue. but it makes it tough...
... heheh. ]
Let's just go by yours. Mine takes too long.
no subject
I can't help but agree.

anna swings their hands a bit as they continue on regardless... it won't matter as much when she. can't think about that it's too far in the future and
... and...
...
this store looks promising. there's more of a handsome look to them, which suits anna just fine considering her own style, so it'll be nice to match without him going full noble-likeness... ]
Go get measured for me. First rule of fashion is that you have something that fits.
no subject
I've. . . never had my measurements taken before?
[this is NOBLE PEOPLE shit, his commoner roots are showing again]
no subject
[ especially growing young women... she'll nudge him to an associate. ]
Don't be shy. Just be ready to strip off a bit.
no subject
I don't know how I'm not supposed to be shy about stripping in public.
[HE SAYS. . . but his tone is a bit playful, amidst all of the obvious nerves]
no subject
[ or at least a different room-- she's smacking his back and going to look at styles she'd think suit him, have fun with your noble pursuits, shyguy. even if that's the last word she'd ever use for him anyway. ]
no subject
[rip Will, the world knew him well]
