I decided to try something new this past year, and… I think it’s turned out more exciting than I anticipated, to be completely honest.

Like, in a good way or a bad way?

[She thinks about where things had been leading when she ran off to join this show and grimaces.]

More bad than good, at this point.

[She breathes out a soft sigh, brushing her thumb against the soft fabric of the plushie.]

Fighting… I don’t think I have the heart for it. But I can’t bear the thought of my friends running headlong into danger while sitting back and doing nothing, so I may be resigned to follow them wherever it goes.

Oh. [ Oh, that escalated. ]

That's... a lot to be dealing with, huh? Especially if you'd rather avoid it. But wanting to support your friends is an amazing strength on its own...

[Dorothea is a little caught off-guard by that escalation herself, truth be told. But it feels a little odd to finally put it into words. Kind of relieving?]

I suppose that’s true.

[A little laugh, and a shake of her head.]

I have to admit, part of the allure in coming here was getting a break from it all. [A beat, her tone reclaiming more of that prior chipperness.] Going out on little excursions like this… it’s nice, isn’t it?

[ Oh, she gets it. She so gets it. ]

We're just trying to grab a little normalcy away from things, huh? And we'll have cute little stuffed animals once we're done here, too.

Precisely! And speaking of our new cute friends...

[She looks over the plushie for a moment, then nods in satisfaction.]

I think I might be just about done with yours.

[Plushie scooped up, she moves to rejoin Ritsuka. A little bunny is presented, dressed in a little button up shirt and a cute polka dot bandana.]
