week two | dates

You worked up your courage and asked someone out on a date! Good job!

Now you have to hope the producers are kind re: where they send you.

[ now they're both embarrassed!! He continues to hate that Will is so cute - especially when he's blushing. Steve would absolutely use this as a chance to flirt with him if he was a girl... Oh well. That probably doesn't mean anything!

He very gingerly puts one hand back on Will's hip (barely) and laces his fingers together with Will's with the other. ]

I... think?

[ off to a swimming start. ]

[yeah Steve, it means nothing!!]

[but here they are, now in the proper (ish) form, and Will gives a firm nod]

Okay. Step one, conquered. Step two is. . .

[he looks over at the instructor, who lifts their arms and mimes the steps the two are expected to take together. a simple, four-step waltz, to start]

Am I going backwards. . . or forwards?

[ IT MEANS NOTHING!! ]

Backwards, I think?

[ This is the most uncertain he's been all competition!! Steve tries to copy what the instructor is doing - carefully, so as not to step on Will's feet. Fortunately, he's fairly coordinated, despite his blustery attitude, and this isn't all that complicated, so Will's feet remain uncrushed as Steve moves forward. ]

[hilariously, despite being completely new at this, Will is. . . also pretty coordinated! and though he moves slowly, he does so with gaze up, unlike most beginners. Steve's feet also remain blessedly safe]

Oh, I see. . .!

[one two three one two three. . .]

It's like making a little box with your feet.
