I'm an incubus, I can only visit the living world's dreams unless I make a pact.

Mmmn [ right, frosting. ] well yeah, but those kind of souls who are easy taste really samey after a while. I got bored of them so I don't eat them anymore.

But being here is way more fun than Hell, hehe.

It's different. It breaks up the rote and routine; I guess even demons get bored of the same thing all the time.

[She's going for her drink first, popping off the lid to a bottle of soda.]

What's your favorite part about being here?

Seeing everyone's expressions! In Hell it's a lot of the same thing. Despair, agony, anger—I love those but there's something different about watching someone who's happy cower in fear, or someone who's so confident doubt themselves.

You truly are a demon. Taking the most pleasure in seeing the hopeful become hopeless.

But nah, not really. I mean maybe a little, but it was mostly cuz I was so tired of playing pretend! Anyone who's my match shouldn't care that I lied to them for a week so it helps weeding out people too.

Anyone who's your match would have to be... seeking their wish for reasons quite important, rather than hoping for romance. To be paired with a demon is no small matter.

I take it you're fine with that. That, or you have plans for your own wish which are more important...?
