[ He will be avoiding the whipped cream, though he does look curious at the green ice cream. What he's going for first though is that little plop of bean paste, taking just the smallest bit of it onto his spoon and very carefully taking a bite.

His face is contemplative as he tastes it, frowning, though more thoughtfully than anything. She'll have to wait until he swallows to get his opinions, and even then it's not that helpful. ]

It really isn't what I expected something called bean paste to taste like.

[ It's fine, she's sagely reaching over to scoop up sone of the ice cream and a cherry, popping the spoon into her mouth with a wordless sound of delight.

The green ice cream is matcha--green tea. Ice cream aside, it's a kind of grassy flavor, so also not very sweet.

[ Grassy flavor probably wouldn't appeal as an advertisement to most people, but Lessing is a sheep, so...

He'll go for it next, taking a half a spoonful, trying it out and mid-letting it melt in his mouth give a firm, determined nod.

It's another good one for him. Her taste in desserts is solid. He's going for another bite of that too. ]

Just the smallest hint of a smile for Lessing before he goes back to eating. He doesn't take big bites, but he does eat pretty fast. ]

You're not wrong, but I eat things most other people do. Most people where I'm are Caprinae, but burden beast sausage is a popular food regardless.

No. There are a variety of horn types among us.

Does it hurt if they knock into anything? Like, are they sensitive?

[ Sorry, this is Q&A time now. Though this is also between bites of parfait. ]

Not particular.

[ He'll even reach up to knock idly against his own horns. ]

Most of it is keratin, so it doesn't have a lot of feeling. If I knock into something I'll feel it, but more because I'm attached to my horns, and I'll feel the vibrations from what they hit.

I guess it'd be kind of counterproductive to have something that large be sensitive, so I'm glad to hear it.

Thanks, I just sort of realized I should maybe educate myself at least a little.

[ She's so used to so much now that it's like. It doesn't quite register that she should ask more questions about appearances or potential species, she just assumes that's how it is and carries on. ]

[ Sometimes that's the easier way. It's not like Lessing minded, though he doesn't seem bothered to be asking these questions either. It just surprises him a little that people would have them in the first place, but he hasn't really been in a situation where people have been unfamiliar with people like him before. ]

It'd be hard for me if it caused me pain every time I bumped into something with them. I'm not that tall, but they're prominent enough that it would cause me some trouble.

Some of my... coworkers [ yeah ] have horns, but they're more... oni. Like demons. Some of the horns are a lot smaller and some are bigger, but they all usually start at the forehead.

I'm vaguely familiar with Oni as well, though I haven't actually met one in person.

[ There are some that work for the company he does though, so maybe he'll have a chance to one day. ]
