week two | dates
You worked up your courage and asked someone out on a date! Good job!
Now you have to hope the producers are kind re: where they send you.

Barbecue it is, then!
[And she’ll be falling into step alongside him with a smile. As they walk, she’s glancing from truck to truck, crowd to crowd, taking in the atmosphere.]
Do they have food festivals like this where you’re from too? I have to say, it does feel a little reminiscent of some of the busier parts of the market back in Enbarr.
[The trucks are a little novel, though.]

Oh, yeah. We had big state fairs - all the fried food you can eat and then some. Plus, they had fair rides and stuff. [ a beat. ] What's Enbarr like?
[ because it's obviously not from the Earth he knows... ]

Sprawling and bustling, with beautiful canals running all throughout it. The opera house I performed at is in a district with some wonderful gardens nearby. [Slight pause as she takes a broad glance at the surroundings.] Though it feels like a totally different place compared to a city like this.
[Based on what she’s heard from the others and seen herself out here.]

[ as if she would know what that is?? It just comes out of him without thinking, and he doesn't start thinking after it's left his lips, so he doesn't offer any explanation. sorry dorothea. ]
Sounds nice. And you're an opera singer? That's cool.

[Steve pls.]
But yes, I’ve sung with an opera company for a number of years now. Though I’ve been on a bit of a break—trying to see what paths might open up for me while doing some studies at an Academy.
[And, y’know, maybe hunt down a viable suitor. As girls do.]

Fancy. I've never even seen an opera before, to be honest with you. My family's more of a hunting-and-camping-trip-in-the-mountains deal.
[ or they were... ]

[Probably would not have been her first guess, but people are always full of surprises.]
You must be close with your family, going on trips like that. It sounds nice.
[A touch of wistfulness to the words.]
