[ Mark is also suspiciously comfortable in a body-hugging jumpsuit, almost like he's worn something like this before, which is in pretty direct contrast to all of the clothes she's actually seen him in. Hmm!

But because he's so comfortable, he's able to match her enthusiasm as soon as it comes back. Or at least, he tries. ]

Oh, yeah! That'll be cool. [ He emits a nervous laugh as though he's not a little scared of doing this, yeah, that's the reason. ] Maybe, um, after... Maybe if I like it we could try it again back at the house?

[ Here Kat, have some of your thunder back. She's so cute when she's in a good mood; he just hopes he can help her maintain it... ]

[She'd be pretty zesty about it if the producers put them on a date with something he really feared, so hopefully, it isn't that.]

You aren't, right? [She reaches out to loop her arm through his elbow.] I'll keep you safe!

[ Oh! He's too taken aback to answer for a second as she links their arms together, pleasantly surprised by the contact. ]

I'm not afraid of heights! [ Another nervous little laugh which could make it sound like he's lying, but, no, really. ] No, no, it's totally fine. But, um...

[ And he leans into her a little, bringing themselves that little bit closer together. ]

Thanks for the offer to keep me safe, though. I trust you... and I know this'll be fun with you.

Of course, it'll be fun! This is my chance to show you why they called me the Gravity Queen. [She knew he wouldn't be scared of something like this. Even though Kat has been using her shifting powers regularly around the house and in front of the other contestants, she still feels like a lot of her trip has been spent with her feet on the ground. It must just be the... solidness of this place. There are fewer gravity concerns to deal with when you aren't in a floating city high in the grounds.

They get called up then, and Kat zips up all the way before stepping into the staging area.]

Okay, gimme your hands! [She's waiting patiently for the attendants to give her assistance that she doesn't even need.] We can spin around in a circle if we go like this.

[ Mark beams at her, because Gravity Queen would fit right in back where he's from. She could be part of a superhero team and everything... something that he, of course, would know nothing about. ]

I'm really looking forward to it, [ he says, soft and sincere, right before they're called up.

Mark mimics her, zipping all the way up and joining her in the staging area. As soon as she asks for his hands he gives him hers without any hesitation, interlocking their fingers and everything. ]

Really? [ He's... never been flying with someone like that before. A little thrill goes through him; maybe this will be fun in a way he wasn't even expecting. ] You got it. Let's do this.
