week two | dates
You worked up your courage and asked someone out on a date! Good job!
Now you have to hope the producers are kind re: where they send you.

As soon as they duck in to the dusty building, it is obvious that Josuke is incredibly uncomfortable here. He makes a visible effort to duck away from any spiderwebs, and tries his best to not step his fancy shoes anywhere too dusty. Even though it's like, impossible. ]
The hell kind of date is this... I knew reality shows could be stingy, but this is a step too far.

Seeing that Josuke is already uncomfortable from the very start of their excursion, Kat frowns.] It kind of looks like something happened here... or nobody's been here for a long, long time. [Maybe both.]
Maybe we're supposed to find something left behind.

[ Not a skeleton or a ghost?!?! He clenches his teeth, letting out a very defeated sounding sigh. ]
It's kind of embarrassing, but I'm freaked out by ghosts, [ He feels a little better knowing he's not in here alone. Unsurprisingly given his last statement, he's not going to stray far from Kat, if at all possible. ] Maybe if I fixed the place up a bit, it wouldn't be so damn creepy.
[ His fingers brush one of the dilapidated staircases, and it begins uncrumbling itself slowly. ]

[Definitely nothing like monsters or skeletons or demons. (Apparently we already have one of those back at the house, anyway...)
As she watches the banister start stacking back together, Kat's once more moved by just how great his ability is. Just to think of all the people Josuke was able to help with that... It would sure go a long way in Hekseville, too.
As an idea hits her, she perks straight up.]
Do you want me to carry you anywhere?

[ He tilts his head, still restoring more paneling and wood work in the house. ]
With your power? Can you use it on other people?
[ He'd thought it might be something linked to her and her only, like so many Stand abilities tend to be. But he can't help but be curious about the prospect of being weightless... ]

[She uses a gravity field to gather up an abandoned chair that sure had been making some eerie squeaky noises. It wiggles and wobbles where she holds it in midair. "Things" also includes people... but gravity doesn't discriminate between a crate and a human body, so anyone who gets carried is kind of at the whims of the flow.]
We could go exploring! Or I could take you somewhere there's more stuff to fix. [She giggles.] What if we got the entire building back?
[Kat can't comprehend of any reason why completely repairing a condemned building could be anything but a bad idea. If it's crumbling away when it could be used for something by people who need it, or if it was important and now abandoned, she can only see this as a good thing.]

Okay, but don't drop me, alright? I can't use my power on myself...
[ Which he only now realizes he has not explained to anyone; he might have the power to heal others, but if he falls from a big height, it's lights out for himself, permanently. He gives a bit of a nervous laugh, waving his hand. ]
Not that I don't think you know what you're doing.

I won't drop you! Unless I lost concentration on the status field or throw you at something, and why would I have any reason to do that?
[Kat and maintaining concentration isn't exactly the most natural of pairs, but as Kat picks up her signature red glow, there's genuine focus when she lifts her hand to extend the field to him. Pieces of the dilapidated building also start to pick up with them, but don't worry about that. There aren't any rifts for things to get sukced into permanently. It probably...feels very weird, being carried by stasis field; after all, all of his gravity is gone, and Josuke will find he has little control over being upright or not.]
Where to?
no subject
Anyways, damn. Who would have thought that entering a gravity field makes it hard to stay upright... he starts swiveling upside down, and flaps his arms a bit, as if that's going to help. ]
Woah! [ this is scary. but also awesome.... but also SCARY ] Uh... um... I guess let's try finding a more stable floor? With some rooms...
[ There might be artifacts in there, like Kat was saying!! ]
