Welcome to week two, Teens Who Are Definitely Searching for Love!

Hopefully everyone got a lot of rest over the weekend, and are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the upcoming week, because there are a few things of interest this week.

But first, some changes of note in the house!

First: there is a giant rectangular box on the living room table, addressed to Lessing. It is a care package. The only thing in it is his sword.

There is some Bauernbrot bread on the counter. Ask Lessing about that too.

There is now a hot tub near the pool. It’s large enough to seat about six teens comfortably, but you can get more in there if you really try for some reason.

Okay I think that’s everything. Additionally, Tsukasa is here early this week! He’s looking pretty perky, seemingly recovered from the Match Ceremony, and he’s got some interesting info to share with everyone.

Kat fits the cat ears on over the headband she usually wears, testing them out. It blends right in, especially with the extra band in the way.]

Well, how do I look? Did everyone get a hat? We should wear them for the ceremony this week... or something like that.

[ That seems out of left field, but he'll give it a chance. ]

Like... from the Bible? Or do you mean more generally?

[This is terrible. He doesn't want her to feel bad or powerless, because the problem isn't her. The shame runs deep enough that he can't bear to look at her.]

I don't know if I'd call things "smooth." That last ceremony was crazy awkward.

[ He's honestly dreading the weekend a little bit now because of it... even just witnessing it all second hand made him uncomfortable. What if next time, he gets wrapped up in it? ]

Hopefully I'll just go early and get it out of the way... I'll feel weird if someone refuses to lock in with me.

[ That would be so uncool and embarrassing, and on TV too? Hell no. ]

[He tenses, only because the contact is unexpected, before melting against her and dropping his hands on the counter.]

[Sanji cants his head to the side as he sizes up the bag from a short distance. Talk about impressive.]

You didn't really do anything wrong, though.

[ Beyond making her have to work for a semi-answer. ]

Mm... younger Moriarty is pretty full of himself and obnoxious? [ Wow. ] Older Moriarty's more like a grandpa who keeps talking about how he'll lead me to evil but then keeps me out of trouble, so it's kind of ridiculous. His mind's really sharp, though...

Lots of different stuff. Stuffed animals, toys, candy...

[ They really cleared the place out, and he doesn't feel bad in the slightest. As for Sanji's gift, he digs around for it before doing the same thing to him that Ritsuka did to Yanami earlier. ]

Oh, looks like it matches pretty well. We guessed right.

[ He's impressed! It looks cute, like she really has kitty ears. ]

But nah, there weren't enough kinds for everyone to get a hat. Can't imagine some people would even wear 'em... it'd mess up my hair, too.

To start, the local ingredients alone won't make this the redgrass-roasted bidou he brought back. It's going to be your version, made just for him by you.

[Sanji's envious. He wants to try Anna's cooking, too! But that's not important right now. Damn Will . . .

He surveys the ingredients that have been laid out.]

Secondly, cooking is love. If even the mixing of the spice is done without love, the dish will be ruined . . . meaning your signature rice would be perfect for the occasion.

My eyes?

[Despite the skepticism written all over his face, he clicks his tongue and closes his eyes. They'd better not do anything stupid or he'll blow his lid.]

He's always doing something wrong. He's wrong. And if that's the case, why should Ritsuka shoulder even a fraction of that burden?

She shouldn't, which is why he voices his most heartfelt emotion:] Thanks.

Sure... I'd be glad to tell you about them.

[Loki and Robin Hood. Being here is the first time he's been without. Something he hasn't processed really. And maybe that empty hole where they used to exist is what's making him so volatile and irritable. Or maybe he's just always like this. Whatever the reason... he would like to talk about them. They were his only companions for an incredibly long time.]

I'd be glad to show you. I think you might be surprised. People often underestimate me.

I'd love to pick their brains... Moriarty being a doting grandpa was not was I expecting.

Then, I guess I have to ask, what is the Mister Holmes like?

[He pockets the bubble pipe as they talk.]

[They're definitely extra classes. Mark is way too honest and obvious as a result, though; does everyone always believe him back home?]

[ Josuke is barely containing himself from laughing once Sanji closes his eyes. Nothing too stupid happens — something just gets placed atop his head. Yes, a very special something. It's what Josuke and Ritsuka thought would be funny to gift him. Enjoy!! ]

[He frowns at the sudden weight on his head, trying to parse what the heck is there. A giant hat?

Once he's told, he opens his eyes, feels the rim of the hat, and pulls it off with both hands.]

[ Sanji just confirmed this for him. Ritsuka and him definitely had a conversation about this. ]
