Ha! that won't be necessary. I can certainly handle a little heat. I've been doing it almost all my life. Some things never change... I used to get into fights all the time as a kid trying to stand up for this or that or my mom.

And then I became fairly famous and felt the rises and falls in fame. This isn't so different. And sticking my foot in my mouth is also something I'm quite used to. Haha...

[This was almost eye rolling inducing. Almost. She has him in the second half of all that and he glances her way once she's done. Despite how much of his detective career was fabricated there were still some things he did on his own merits. He has his own skill sets and he knows how to use them. He got pretty far on his own up until he finally ran across Shido.

There are things he can teach... Though it's a weird thing for him, of all people, to think. It may very well be worth what she's offering.

[He doesn't thank her. Though it's tempting to do so out of politeness sake. But also, it feels a little weird that someone came looking for him. It's probably to make sure that he remains on the level. No sabotage out of petty revenge for being wrong or anything like that. Please, he's not that mad... yet. Whatever the actual reason for her visit it feels like a decent enough deal was made. He'll see how it pans out in the weeks to come.]
