[ Furiously blushing, and whirling to point at what looks like empty air beside herself: ] See? He thinks I'm cute! You're the bore, not me!

[ Is she cute even when she's hallucinating, Sanji. Yoru physically clutches at her head in frustration, but Asa's already dragging him off again. ]

We're going to see the turtles next! I worked extra hard on this, so you'd better appreciate it twice as much!

[It's probably Yoru, who's very much real within Asa, so Sanji doesn't count this against her.

At any rate, he's all too happy to be dragged off by his date, especially once he realizes where they're going. Turtles? They suit him just fine.]

I can't wait!

[ Buoyed by his approval, her explanation is... still incredibly dull and boring, but she's h*lding his h*nd for it this time. ]

Turtles as a species have been around for over 200 million years, meaning they're even older than snakes and alligators. There's a saying about how if things aren't broken, you shouldn't change them, and that definitely applies here.

Their shell is actually part of their body, and grows with it, rather than having to swap out all the time like a hermit crab. It's a good thing it does, because they can't leave it. At most, some can pull their head inside for protection, though usually not all the way.

Not all turtles are tortoises, but all tortoises are turtles. The major difference is that tortoises live on land, while most, but not all, turtles prefer the water... kind of like you. [ If this is the reason she focused so much on turtles... shut up. ] Sea turtles in particular only ever leave the water to lay eggs... [ blah blah blah ]

[Sanji makes a valiant effort to pay attention once they reach the exhibition starring turtles and tortoises. It's hard when her palm is pressed against his. How blessed is he? Something catches in his periphery past Asa's profile, and he glances over to a blur of blue by the tree around the bend. What's that about . . . ?

He snaps back to attention at the sound of Asa's lovely voice. For this one, he actually spends most of the explanation looking at what to which she's referring until she brings him up. Then he turns to her with a dopey grin while his heart skips a figurative beat.

She's thinking about him! Is there a more blissful day than this?]

[warhawks]

[ She doesn't see the flash of blue, but she does notice his eyes on her, and pauses in the middle of her presentation. ]

H-hey, you're supposed to be looking at the turtles, not me. You'll have more fun if you stick to the plan, so don't get distracted.

[hgeegh]

[Who is he to argue against what she's saying? He turns back to the turtles, still grinning.]

Aye aye.

[Really, he can't help it. She's so cute, especially when she's flustered. But he'll pay attention now: Turtles are significant to him, too.]

[warhawks]

Good.

[ Even part of her does want his attention on her instead... but this is about his fun, not hers. She's being considerate!

Clearing her throat, she continues. I need to do other tags please just pretend there's more rambling here, like as much as the rest put together. Still with zero passion. An AI voice reading you a wikipedia article tier delivery. ]

[And so, for another one-and-something hours, Asa's lecture continues. The breadth of her knowledge goes far beyond his own on the subject, so much so that Sanji learns a few things that could be useful down the line. He faces her again once the droning ends.]

You must be thirsty, though. [Frankly, it's impressive that she managed to go this long without a sip of water.] Should we grab a drink?
