week four | dates
You worked up your courage and asked someone out on a date! Good job!
Now you have to hope the producers are kind re: where they send you.

The food here is so. . .
[a beat. how does he put it]
[AESTHETIC??]
no subject
So he just meanders in comfortably, and once they're seated, he inspects the menu on the tablet. Hmmm!!
He'll put in for a KAITO drink.]
It's cute, isn't it? Cafes like this always are.
no subject
Is this a way to show off the chef's skills? Making something that almost looks like. . . art?
no subject
Tsukasa considers that as he flips Will's tablet and shows him how to get to the menu properly.]
I suppose I've never thought about why there are cafes like this... I suppose to share a mutual love for something in a different way?
no subject
[looks at the drinks]
[looks up at a Miku poster]
For this girl? Is she famous--?
no subject
[... wild.]
She's an extremely popular and well-known [vvvvirtua-- god there's no way Will will grasp that. Ever. Not in a million years.] --singer in my world.
no subject
Oh! Like Nene, and Junah.
[pleased that he understands]
So these drinks and foods are made to honor her.
no subject
[Tsukasa scrolls through the items idly, and then also picks some fried chicken (Meiko-themed!)]
But the food looks pretty good, so we may as well enjoy it.
no subject
What would you recommend at a place like this. . .? I feel completely out of my element.
no subject
He sets his own tablet down so he can lean to look at Will's, swiping through.]
Well, do you want something sweet or savory? The desserts are here. If you want something more savory, that's here.
[look at this food.]
no subject
What about this one? It looks very hearty.
no subject
[Tsukasa will just... go ahead and walk Will through ordering it through the tablet, it's fine. Once their picks are made (and Will gets a drink too), then Tsukasa settles into his seat and:]
Have things been strange in the house this week?
[Mr. Has Missed Every Bad Sekai. But he's picking up on the vibes.]
no subject
[once the orders have been placed, Will puts his tablet down and allows his gaze to wander across the cafe. he answers Tsukasa's question without looking at him, if only because all of the colors and character posters are distracting]
Strange. . . that's one way to put it.
You haven't bene suddenly whisked away to an entirely different. . . place? Have you?
no subject
"An entirely different place"...? No, I haven't.
[Huh...
For once, having duties during the day is saving his ass.]
What sorts of places?
no subject
[frowns as he tries to find the words to explain. . .]
Places that seem to reflect. . . our memories and emotions?
[it's not very eloquent, but it's the best he can do with the information he has]
no subject
Like a Sekai?
[That slips out of him before he can even think to, er, not, and then he glances over at the cameras and desperately hopes they Did Not Catch That.]
no subject
What's a Sekai?
[SORRY TSUKASA, HE IS MISSING THE GLANCE AT THE CAMERAS]
no subject
They're on a date, which means they're away from the house, which means he could probably show Will. He does miss Miku and the others, now that he's stuck and can't go visit them after hours anymore...
... Hm.]
Let's wait for our food. She'll want some of it.
[He leans back into his chair, decision made.]
Then I'll show you.
no subject
[but Will nods in response, trusting that Tsukasa will explain everything when the time is right. in the meantime. . . the food! it has arrived!]
[Will's eyes sparkle]
Wow. . .! It's amazing.
no subject
Hold onto that, would you? The utensils, too.
[And as soon as Will complies, he taps his phone, hitting play on a song that belongs only to him as his troupe, and they're plopped into a totally different place.
They are there for .5 seconds before there comes a cheerful, "Tsukasaaaaaa!!" and then Tsukasa deftly steps out of the way of a tackle from a girl that would've undoubtedly sent him sprawling, plate still held carefully.]
Miku, what have I said about tackling?
no subject
[unfortunately, he barely has time to react before that girl comes barreling towards Tsukasa, and a startled noise escapes his lips as he gawks]
-- it's her!
The famous songstress!
[HATSUNE MIKU!!!]
no subject
[Tsukasa sounds tired, but like, fondly so. Miku bounces over towards Will to peer at him curiously.
"Ah!! You're a new guest! Miku's never seen you here before!"]
no subject
I've never been here before.
I'm Will. I'm a good friend of Tsukasa's. It's nice to meet you, famous songstress Miku.
no subject
Go share those with the plushies or with Kaito and the others, okay?
[Off she goes, if a bit reluctantly, and finaaally, they're left with some peace and quiet. Well. Relative peace and quiet. It is an amusement park. There's music playing. The flowers are singing. The rides are running in the background. So it's not a very quiet SEKAI at all.]
Ah, this way. There's a bench over here where you can sit and eat.
no subject
All right. Ah-- you can have some of mine, since you gave yours away.
[they'll have to share chopsticks]
[Will still isn't quite sure how to use chopsticks]
