Welcome to your fourth and final week, teens!

There aren’t many changes around the house today: it seems everyone is dialed in on what needs to be done and the upcoming week. Everything that was on the fritz last week is now back to normal, aside from the Dress Up Your Blorbo curse. You can still do that at will.

Anyway, it's fine that all seems quiet.

There’s plenty going on anyway this week.

[ There's a confused look here, of course, but then he nods in answer to the question. ]

Yeah, Personas. [ He takes a bite of curry before — ] What's an Archetype?

[he pulls up a small smile, his response a bit cheeky, but gently so]

A manifestation of one's heart into this "spirit thing." [A BEAT] Kind of.

It doesn't sound exactly the same, but it's an ancient magic that my party and I can use to fight. It gives us the power of the Hero Kings of old, based upon their literary Archetypes.

. . . the Warrior uses physical strength, while the Mage fights with magic, and so on and so forth.

[boneface]

[ Oh! That response makes Ryuji laugh. Shit, they have the same power? That's crazy.

That's... really crazy! ]

Holy moly, that's really wild, man. I wish I could see it. Can you use it now or nah? I can only use my Persona in the Metaverse... which is a whole separate thing. Just, to make it simple, only back home. Otherwise I'd show you William.

[ ... Haha. He just realized his Persona is William and he's talking to Will. ]

[. . . omg. William. . .]

Is that your Persona? [teasing] I didn't realize we shared the same name.

[he places his spoon down (HE STILL HASN'T TASTED THE CURRY, TOO DISTRACTED BY THIS TALK) and stands, moving out of the booth and to a more spacious part of the tavern. which is. . . by the entrance]

I can show you, though. The Archetypes are just magic, and can be used anywhere, at any time.

[ Ah!! Don't call it out!! Ryuji looks a bit embarrassed. ]

There's this famous pirate where I come from called William Kidd. That's who he's named after. [ And then he mumbles this next part a little, shy: ] He's known for like, his name bein' dragged through the mud and fightin' back against it. Kinda like me.

[ aaaaANYWAY he looks at Will in interest as he stands up, though don't think you'll get out of eating the curry, my man. He'll watch him as he moves towards the entrance to get some space. ]

Oh shit, for real? You're gonna just show me it? Cool, I'm ready. Let's goooo.

[willandaway]

[I WANT HIM TO EAT IT SO BAD, DON'T WORRY, HE'LL GET THERE. also: he is filing that information away for later. . . don't think you're getting out of talking about your tragic backstory, Skull!!]

[with a nod and a breath, Will closes his eyes, and. . . a series of glowing orange runes suddenly coalesces across his body, tracing the lines of his skeleton, all the way down to the tips of his fingers and toes. when he opens his eyes again, they glow a bright, fiery orange]

Magic Seeker!

[and he lifts his hand into the sky at the same time he shouts, at the same time a wind of pure magic starts to kick up around him, surrounding his entire form until he is completely obscured. and the magic formulates into what appears to be. . . an armor of some kind?]

[Squee you know what the Magic Seeker looks like, and here is Will, as the Magic Seeker! floating slightly off the ground, holding a sword that looks like a violin bow]

[ He's not trying to get out of it!! He will. Absolutely talk about it. Soon. Eventually. One day.

But for now he is watching Will turn into Magic Seeker and looks a little stunned. It's very much different than a Persona as it's not something else that's summoned but more like... Will himself is transformed. It's kind of cool to see. Huh! ]

Whoa. [ Whoa. ] Can you talk like that? Does it hurt? Do ya feel weird? What's the major difference?
