Welcome to your fourth and final week, teens!

There aren’t many changes around the house today: it seems everyone is dialed in on what needs to be done and the upcoming week. Everything that was on the fritz last week is now back to normal, aside from the Dress Up Your Blorbo curse. You can still do that at will.

Anyway, it's fine that all seems quiet.

[Tsukasa laughs at that as the ride starts to move, settling back against his side of the gondola.]

Hardly! That was just to get here.

[He leans forward, grinning brightly.]

More importantly! You wanted us to meet like this, right? Are you satisfied, or was there more you wanted to discuss?

[inparfait]

[ it's never been more apparent than now, that they're polar opposites in many ways. somehow, they don't repel each other even physically; the shadows move a bit but don't pull back when tsukasa leans in. if anything, they get just a bit closer. ]

I have one. [ it's a question he's wondered, but it's one he's both been too arrogant and afraid to ask. ]

Why do you like me?

[aspirings]

[What a question to ask. Tsukasa knew it. All of his serious talks always happen on the ferris wheel. This could be a worrisome trend except, as Minami noted, it suits Tsukasa's everything perfectly.]

Why...? Well, that's easy.

[Should he think harder about this? Probably. But when has Tsukasa ever thought hard about a single aspect of any of this? Never, that's when. It's worked out for him so far, hasn't it?

He hasn't really thought about it at all until this point, but he still finds, as ever, that words come easily when it comes to what he loves about the people around him, especially ones who are special to him.]

I like that you're considerate about what I'd want, even when I don't ask for it. The way you smiled at my story and piano playing, and were eager to dance. I like your eyes as well, and I'm very glad that you like mine! Ah, and the way that you are much more honest with how you're feeling when you're being physically affectionate... though you have started to become more honest with words lately too. Which I also enjoy!

But I think most of all, I like that you have this excitement for the future--for trying new things and experiences! Because... I, too, want to continue to ever strive towards a future of new experiences and successes!

[he got so distracted naming things off that he'll remember to be embarrassed by half of this later]

[ again, he's not sure what he was expecting. it's a lot, and a few weeks ago it would have been way too much. "considerate"...that word makes him bare his teeth, a flash of red.

but he listens as tsukasa keeps going, unabashedly as ever, and the rest of it falls right. in particular no one's ever told him, in any shape or form, that they like how excitable he is. all he gets told is that he's too much, even by other demons in Hell. it's a reasonable observation and not one he's ever minded. more importantly, it's an aspect of himself that is truly minami, without any influences.

he'd wanted to know, because he yearns to be accepted for who he is, past and present. ]

I see. You're really hopeless to talk about a demon, like that. Any priest or exorcist would think I bewitched you.

[ which he hasn't, after he tried that one time and found out that tsukasa truly liked being in his company, somehow. ]

I still want to eat you, but in a different way. [ what is it like to kiss a mass of shadows with a mouth and tongue? tsukasa's going to find out. more importantly, there are definitely teeth involved.

spicy, in a way he hasn't fully shown yet until now. but he is an incubus, after all. ]

[Listen, Minami, you're gonna just have to accept that Tsukasa likes the most positive things you do too. Like being considerate. Them's the breaks.

But before he can respond to Minami's observation, or his threat (???), Minami is there, leaning in, and that's, uh. New.

Listen I have so many monsterfuckers on my muselist but Tsukasa isn't one of them, so this is just Taking Him a Minute. He pulls back after a moment, blinking, and tastes just that little bit of blood on his lips and tongue.

[... his brain catches up just a bit. A little distantly, as his brain cell keeps chugging:]

... You've got to stop threatening to eat me.

for tsukasa's innocence, because his soul is safe and this conversation has only reaffirmed that. ]

[ i breathe a sigh of relief at that. me personally, lb. ]

Go ahead. [ anything else he knows he can ask in his cuter form. ]

Ah, then first--do you have more abilities or powers in this form, or is it all the same either way?

[inparfait]

Hmm, the same. But if I was going to manipulate dreams, I'd always appear like this.

[ so kind of like when a mermaid needs to swim she does so with her tail and not her legs. ]

[aspirings]

[Well, that makes sense, he supposes.]

And you can do basically anything to dreams and nightmares?

[inparfait]

That's right. [ it is now suddenly raining parfaits in the dream sekai. ]

He just scoots to the window of the gondola so he can see better.

[ consider it raining bits and pieces of people. a specific person really but hey, this minami can be thoughtful too in his own way. ]

[that's good because Tsukasa is a regular teenage boy and would, in fact, be sick. Nobody wants this.]

I'd really rather it never be something more sinister, to be honest.

I know. You had more questions?

[ sorry he can't be cute and teasing about it like this, but the vibe is there as best as it can be. ]

The rest is mostly idly curiosity, to be honest. I'm satisfied that you feel better about this whole situation.

[Since Minami was the one who was concerned in the first place.]

[ there's that concern again, but it bothers him less this time. ]

What will you do if the other soul in me refuses to leave?

[aspirings]

[That's not an option he's ever contemplated, to be honest.]

He will. [Quite frankly, and simply.] I'll just have to keep trying until I get through to him!

[ it takes a moment, but then he sighs. ]

I'm going to have a headache instead of a stomach ache at the end of this. But I believe you, even if that should be impossible. [ here's something more of the usual, a cheek poke!

because yeah, he can see it, even as he is now. and he is absolutely going to have the worst headache imaginable because that soul was as pure as fresh new snow once, but the bleed goes both ways.

good thing tsukasa is stubborn, loud, and just plows on through regardless. ]

[aspirings]

[cheek poked by a shadowy creature thing... yet it does feel nostalgic and familiar. Truly peak Minami behavior.]

Heheheh. As you should! [Where does the confidence come from... we just don't know.]

I've never backed down from a challenge, and I certainly won't fail one as important as this!

You can count on me! [but probably with a headache in the aftermath, yeah.]

Yeah, yeah, I think he can almost hear you from here. [ though it is fond. ]

Then that's what I wanted to ask. Should I let you go back to sleep now?

tsukasa can have his beauty sleep back, but not before he gets a good night kiss. this one is still full of teeth, but it is softer with some give to it. ]
