Welcome to your fourth and final week, teens!

There aren’t many changes around the house today: it seems everyone is dialed in on what needs to be done and the upcoming week. Everything that was on the fritz last week is now back to normal, aside from the Dress Up Your Blorbo curse. You can still do that at will.

Anyway, it's fine that all seems quiet.

[The girl with blue pigtails doesn't respond to being shaken. She doesn't move or make a sound, and even if Anna shakes her, she'll just sway limply back and forth. In fact, Anna might even start to feel a slight panic, not entirely her own. Why isn't she waking up? What happened to her?

The panic will only last a few moments before the girl... or something that's a part of her... sits up straight with a snap. Her pigtails now stand straight up on her head, coiled and unwieldy, and her eyes, unblinking and red, are staring straight at Anna. Her affect is flat.]

We are not to interfere directly in Cyanea's dream. I protect the dream and the figures in it, like the Shifter. Curious. You are not part of the dream...

[ (quietly:) what the fuuuuuuuuuuck is gravity rush.

anna jumps back in surprise, staring wide-eyed at... the girl. machine? girl. before straightening and tilting her head. ]

Oh, yeah, no, I'm... wait, are you gonna attack me?

[ stepping back. anna isn't part of this protection program so clearly she's like a virus and this girl is the antibodies or whatever????? ]

[Anna receives a blank stare from the Dream Guardian. She's always staring rather blankly, though, in a creepy, always-awake kind of way. If she was more expressive, she might look a little baffled.] You're not a threat to the dream... but you aren't a figure in it, either. You must be from the world of another's dream. So this is not directly interfering.

[Enjoy the loopholes of the Gravity Rush universe, Anna. Unblinking, the Guardian stares into her eyes.] You have the ability to see many things here. What do you hope?

[ oh

uh. okay. she's relaxing then, staring back at... the guardian, tilting her head at the question. ]

I mean, yeah, of course I can see stuff... I'm not blind. Um. I hope for a happy end for everyone?

[ please she isn't built for riddles ]

That's a nice wish. One that isn't always possible. But the dream must be allowed to continue. Like the people of the world, these items are all objects in Cyanea's dream. Some of them have been sent to the Brink to no longer exist.

[And there's her, of course... there may even be a memory triggered if Anna chooses just to keep interacting with her.]

Choose what you'll do... it's your decision.

So-- wait, let me get this straight. All of this -- is a dream? Who's Cyanea? What's the Brink?

The shifter's world is Cyanea's dream. I watch while she's sleeping.

[At least, this world... implicating other universes in the dream isn't within the Guardian's purview at all.]

Things in the Brink are discarded between existence and oblivion. Identities. Memories. Think of them as deleted data. [The recycling bin, if Anna will.]

that didn't like, answer anything. is. okay, hold on, anna vaguely recalls some words thrown around in group settings. shifter is. kat? that's literally the only word actually and she doesn't even know that's right. ]

... Right, yeah, toooootally get it now... Why did they get tossed? And, um... who's the shifter?

[ there we'll just ask it like that and she might not look stupid in front of knock off hatsune miku. ]

[No that was actually very self-explanatory? That's just the way things work. It's a skill issue, Anna!]

You call her Kat. She lost them... or rather, they were left behind when she came down. They'd normally be inaccessible, but you have eyes to see. The past and the present are together here.

[I realized just now that Anna doesn't know much about Kat's amnesia OR her shifting powers, but she might be able, at least, to discern that there are old memories and feelings and new ones associated with this place.]

[ yeah i went hard mode for kat because i love her. anna's getting to know her so well in the last week and nothing can surprise her. of course she has no memories. ]

Oh. Oh! Okay, sure, that makes sense.

[ don't worry she's got it. anna'll look around at the objects again, then move over to the cat & bird duo. ]

If this is like any other... sorry for peeking in, Kat-chan. I promise I'll get to know you better without searching through your memories, too.
