So, uh.

Welcome to Week Three! We’ve officially passed the halfway point, and after a super, duper successful Match Ceremony, I’m sure the teens are feeling all hyped up and raring to go.

Right?

Regardless, there are a few changes this Monday morning to greet the teens:

• First off, there is a new bathroom! Oooh, aaaahhhh. Three whole bathrooms in the house for the teens now. Enjoy.
  
• There is also a set of video games in the living room to connect to the TV. They are pretty much all multiplayer party games like M*rio C*rt. Don’t kill each other.
  
• There are a few packs of dorayaki now scattered around the house.
  
• There is also a piano now in the living room!
  
• On the counter in the kitchen, there is also some paper and writing implements, like basic ballpoint pens. Wait, doesn’t that break the rules?

Tsukasa’s extremely loud and obnoxious voice is not here to greet you guys this morning, which means it seems there isn’t a Task for the week–

But something else seems to be going on.

[lifting his gaze to look Ryuji in the eye, suddenly firm. . .!]

You managed to get through to him in the embrace space, didn't you?

[ He nods his head because despite everything, he does believe he got through to him there. ]

Yeah. It didn't fix everythin' but I like to think I helped a 'lil.

So don't sell yourself short, okay, Ryuji?

I think. . . you're still important to him.

[ Ryuji doesn't want to laugh at that, he really doesn't. Because he truly doesn't think he's important to Akechi. He doesn't think he's nothing to Akechi, at least, but important is a high bar that he doesn't quite reach.

So, he just looks a little sad as he smiles back at Will. ]

Maybe you're right. It's okay though, honest. I know I'll never be his friend, but I do want him to live. S'two different things. Even if I'm not the guy who gets him to live, as long as he makes it out of here, I'm happy.

[gosh. . . Will wishes he knew what to say to that. after a pause, he lifts a hand and rests it heavily on Ryuji's shoulder with a comforting squeeze]

[. . .]

[he may not be able to say anything, but. . . Ryuji is sitting here with him when his weekend had been so rough. it's the least Will can do. . . to return the favor]

[ Ryuji looks to Will when he feels the hand on his shoulder and will lift his hand to set it on Will's, squeezing back lightly. He smiles a little, wane, and drops his hand after a moment.

He's... content to sit with Will in silence for now. This is fine with him. ]
