So, uh.

Welcome to Week Three! We’ve officially passed the halfway point, and after a super, duper successful Match Ceremony, I’m sure the teens are feeling all hyped up and raring to go.

Right?

Regardless, there are a few changes this Monday morning to greet the teens:

• First off, there is a new bathroom! Oooh, aaaahhhh. Three whole bathrooms in the house for the teens now. Enjoy.
  
• There is also a set of video games in the living room to connect to the TV. They are pretty much all multiplayer party games like M*rio C*rt. Don’t kill each other.
  
• There are a few packs of dorayaki now scattered around the house.
  
• There is also a piano now in the living room!
  
• On the counter in the kitchen, there is also some paper and writing implements, like basic ballpoint pens. Wait, doesn’t that break the rules?

Tsukasa’s extremely loud and obnoxious voice is not here to greet you guys this morning, which means it seems there isn’t a Task for the week–

But something else seems to be going on.

Oh... Yeah, don't mention it! [It stings a little bit, like any other kind of rejection... but she'd only offered because she thought it might be nice for him to have someplace to go that didn't expect anything of him. Why wouldn't it be right to take someone in when they had nowhere else to go?

But he's the only one who can say if he'd be able to be happy there or not. If only Kat could quiet the concerned voice in the back of her head.

(If he doesn't feel like he belongs where he comes from or anywhere else, where is he supposed to go?)

Coming closer to inspect the offered paper bag, Kat still shows the usual excitable wonder she always does at being offered a gift.]

What's this? You got something for me?

[Don't worry about him… But her concern is appreciated. It always feels genuine and not pity. Not completely pity anyway. And she calls him Goro which…

That’s something only his mom did. And while he should have stopped her the first time it happened he can’t deny that he wouldn’t want her to change to Akechi. It wouldn’t be the same.]

It’s nothing, really. [He folds his arms over his chest.] Consider it an apology, or something. I shouldn’t have snapped at you, of all people, at that first ceremony.

[She doesn't know how rare apologies are from Akechi in general, but Kat suspects they're very rare. He seems like the type of guy who's often right and likes being seen that way.]

See, I knew you had it in you. [She nudges him with her words, gently teasing. Kat's a little worried about doing that too much; he might always take it the wrong way, which she definitely doesn't want.

Smiling, Kat opens the bag and peeks into it, eyes bright.] I accept your apology.

I don't know if your ears are pierced but that's an easy enough remedy once you get home. Either way... I thought they'd suit you.

[Ryuji got Wednesday a sword or something and he thought Kat might like this little thing over some unwieldy weapon.]

[He can't be blamed for that: Kat's hair is pretty much always covering her ears, sometimes even when she has it pulled back.]

I don't, but... it shouldn't be too scary to get it done, right?

[(They use needles to do it, right? Eep... Come on, Kat, be brave!)]

They're perfect. Really. I'll wear them as soon as I can!

[The sleepover would be the perfect time for some ill-adviced ear piercing but we will NOT be doing that.]
