So, uh.

Welcome to Week Three! We’ve officially passed the halfway point, and after a super, duper successful Match Ceremony, I’m sure the teens are feeling all hyped up and raring to go.

Right?

Regardless, there are a few changes this Monday morning to greet the teens:

• First off, there is a new bathroom! Oooh, aaaahhhh. Three whole bathrooms in the house for the teens now. Enjoy.
  
• There is also a set of video games in the living room to connect to the TV. They are pretty much all multiplayer party games like M*rio C*rt. Don’t kill each other.
  
• There are a few packs of dorayaki now scattered around the house.
  
• There is also a piano now in the living room!
  
• On the counter in the kitchen, there is also some paper and writing implements, like basic ballpoint pens. Wait, doesn’t that break the rules?

Tsukasa’s extremely loud and obnoxious voice is not here to greet you guys this morning, which means it seems there isn’t a Task for the week–

But something else seems to be going on.

I changed my mind... vote for me and Ritsuka, so I don't have to be part of this conversation next week.

It goes a little beyond not being unified.

[ Though he does realize that's not his fault at all, even if he didn't cut things off at the pass when they entered choppy waters. ]

[even if Lessing knows it, Will is going to point it out]

For what it's worth, I don't think anyone is being difficult on purpose.

[ minami's still on the floor somewhere from the whole mark thing. he's laughing again. ]

You hate it that much? [ he does consider this seriously despite the laughter, though it's probably hard to tell. ]

[ It does not surprise him in the slightest that Minami looks like he's having a great time here. ]

I just don't think most of this ended up being all that productive in the end.

[ Seems like the opposite might have been the case in fact. Look, a small fight even happened between Mark and Minami, and sure for some bizarre reason Minami is still thriving despite it, but Mark could have gone and started one with someone who wouldn't be so giddy about it, and then where would they be? ]

Well I'd rather vote for you than Will and Anna or Kat and Mark. But I still plan to vote for Will and Akechi.

[ Sighing... he's not going to bother to argue with Minami about why he shouldn't, because he doubts the guy will listen, or even let Lessing finish his points before deciding he was done with the conversation.

Akechi has made his feelings known, and Lessing won't vote for him, but if the crowd that seems determined to drag him into the truth booth band together...

... RIP Akechi, he guesses.

He'll focus on something else instead. ]

Why not Will and Anna or Kat and Mark?

Will and Anna means it could still be me paired with him.

And for Kat and Mark... I don't feel like it.

[ it's deeper than that but he's not telling lessing of all people so f. ]

[ Ritsuka and Lessing could also mean that if they're wrong, but he's fairly certain they aren't, which is why he'd offered them as a safety net. ]

[ Mark started the fight this time, so can't fault Minami for that, but he's frowning.

Don't start things with Kat, Minami. She's a good kid. ]

[ in his defence the likelihood of mark starting a fight with someone other than minami, specifically because of minami's attitude, is pretty low, but... hm. temper, temper ]

[ Look, Mark.......... he gets it in this specific case, so no judgement actually. ]

She's just going to go over there to quietly shoulder-nudge him. Hang in there, buddy. ]

I'm not cut out for starting discussions like this.

[ There were people that still wanted to play this game and find their matches, and it seemed like a good way to guarantee the safety of the wishes. ]

It made sense to me at the time.

You did great, Lessing. Believe me, it's hard for a lot of people to try and keep a conversation on track, especially with fifteen other people.

Opinionated sure is a word for it. Not that he gets to judge given how he can be sometimes.

But he is going to judge a little right now. ]

I'd just assumed we'd be focusing on people who actually wanted to be matched.

Rule number one of working with a lot of different personalities... [ holding up a finger. ]

Only assume it's not going to go how you hoped.

But also, unless you really want us to get voted in... [ a bit of a chiding eyebrow raise. ] You don't have to say that either, especially if there's something else you want to try.
