So, uh.

Welcome to Week Three! We’ve officially passed the halfway point, and after a super, duper successful Match Ceremony, I’m sure the teens are feeling all hyped up and raring to go.

Right?

Regardless, there are a few changes this Monday morning to greet the teens:

• First off, there is a new bathroom! Oooh, aaaahhhh. Three whole bathrooms in the house for the teens now. Enjoy.
  
• There is also a set of video games in the living room to connect to the TV. They are pretty much all multiplayer party games like M*rio C*rt. Don’t kill each other.
  
• There are a few packs of dorayaki now scattered around the house.
  
• There is also a piano now in the living room!
  
• On the counter in the kitchen, there is also some paper and writing implements, like basic ballpoint pens. Wait, doesn’t that break the rules?

Tsukasa’s extremely loud and obnoxious voice is not here to greet you guys this morning, which means it seems there isn’t a Task for the week–

But something else seems to be going on.

[ HOW ARE THERE 8 MARIO KARTS???? He's right there alongside Steve expressing how alarming this is, he's valid. ]

The controllers are all weird, too... [ what the fuck is a switch controller ] When I asked for these, I thought we were gonna get Mario Party 2, or something.

[ He lets out a pfft sound at "there's a second one?!", happy to know he's not the oldest person here by year. At least, from the normal-ish Earth people. ]

Yanami told me it's the 2020's where she's from, isn't that crazy?

1998. [ he puts his hands on his hips, shaking his head. ] So even you're from the future! I figured you were from, like, ten years ago.

Good to know the world hasn't ended, I guess.

[ It's a good thing Steve doesn't say that comment about his look being outdated with a disdainful tone..... because Josuke is already set on edge by the words themselves. He can still keep himself in check, though. He didn't say it was ugly... I'm calm. I don't need to knock one of his teeth out yet. ]

Nah, man, it's summer 1999. Turn of the millennium's coming up.

[ For a second, he looks distracted, plucking a comb from his jacket pocket as if on instinct. It soothes him to brush out stray hairs... ]

World's not going anywhere, if everyone from the future's to be believed.

[ once again, Steve has no clue that he just had a brush with death. In fact, he doesn't even pick up on Josuke being bothered in any way. Just some normal guys having a normal chat about time travel and video games!! ]

[ the pit in his stomach reminds him he won't get to see it anyway, but he's quick to squash those thoughts by looking at Mario's high-poly face on the screen. ]
