Welcome to week two, Teens Who Are Definitely Searching for Love!

Hopefully everyone got a lot of rest over the weekend, and are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the upcoming week, because there are a few things of interest this week.

But first, some changes of note in the house!

First: there is a giant rectangular box on the living room table, addressed to Lessing. It is a care package. The only thing in it is his sword.

There is some Bauernbrot bread on the counter. Ask Lessing about that too.

There is now a hot tub near the pool. It’s large enough to seat about six teens comfortably, but you can get more in there if you really try for some reason.

Okay I think that’s everything. Additionally, Tsukasa is here early this week! He’s looking pretty perky, seemingly recovered from the Match Ceremony, and he’s got some interesting info to share with everyone.

[ Mark shows him his sheet. It's got plenty of easier ones on it too, but the big ticket items are probably the ones to really go after — and for a guy who is trying to keep a pretty big secret, and is also not all that far removed from Trauma, some of these really suck for him. ]

Some of these are... tough. [ By his tone he's underselling it. Some of these are more than tough for him. ] I know it goes against the point of this, but it'd be nice if the easier ones were worth more points...

[ It's Wednesday! He perks right up at seeing her before going to skim his sheet. ]

Gruesome... um... [ reading, reading... ] Do you mean physically, or emotionally? Because a lot of these involve feelings, [ which he's guessing would be gruesome for her, ] or, like... teach someone a new skill, which I guess could be anything.

[ Blinks down at his list again. ]

Or stay handcuffed to someone for an hour.

case and point: she's sitting very demurely (?) at least one day out of this week to dedicate to this thing, thighs bare thanks to her choice in shorts, women-likers you're welcome, with her sheet beside her. ]

2. five feet apart because we're not gay

[ the promised!!!!! hot tub!!!!!!!! this is something she will be found in pretty much every night usually after dinner, wearing a bikini that... definitely should have stayed in "last year" as far as sizing goes, so to speak. sorry. this is canon. she's a threat to the show's rating. ]

3. she's here at night at least

anna is not. she's finally getting somewhere with her plans, and even if it makes her yawn to be up past her bedtime she's got a face mask on to help prevent wrinkles and bags under her eyes. getting up for a drink of water? she's in the kitchen. cooking something. god, this girl never stops eating, does she? ]

Mark opens his eyes to see Sanji climb in, sitting up straighter now that he's got real company. And grins, because alright! That's two points! Points are good.

And also because it's Sanji, who, yeah, he's a pirate, but at least he was honest about being a pirate from the get-go. And also because he's been doing good work keeping them all fed. Which, speaking of... ]

It's so good, isn't it? [ A beat, brain immediately going back to the scavenger hunt. ] Please tell me you also got the cook or bake something together item on your list.

[ anna doesn't mind slipping in with him, hi mark, sorry she's. they're just out there, buddy. but so are his abs, which she does clock before turning her face away in thought.

[ Mark peruses Will's list as he holds it out to him. ]

Oh, yeah. Yours looks pretty alright.

[ Thinking... ]

We could knock out one of the easier ones, but why not aim big? Do you want to see if we had similar childhoods?

[ Now that's something he feels comfortable talking about. Phew for him! ]

[ then they can so innocently join hands and head back to the bedroom... anna'll gesture to her suitcase, outfits neatly layered within. ]

Take your pick! I've never done this before, it's kind of exciting.

[ for what reason is it exciting. let her looks through ritsuka's too... anna's is most certainly going to be elegantly girly so. have fun with that. skirts and dresses galore. blouses. etc. ]

[ He opens his eyes at the sound of her voice, and oh yeah, they're just out there.

He is staring. Respectfully. For a couple of seconds, before he remembers where her eyes are, and shoots her an easy grin. ]

You know... that might be the case for me too. [ A beat. ] Though that might've been hot springs, but that's basically the same thing, right?

[ in the words of a certain lit club president, it'd be impolite not to stare at women in their swimsuits. ]

Are you kidding me? Hot springs are way better. The ambiance! The chilly air when you stand up! The milk you drink after!

[ a sigh. she really likes that milk. ]

I wanna go with everyone... It'd be super fun.

[ He examines the sheet calmly, comparing Mark's with his own. Something you regret, or something you ca never be forgiven for, huh...

Maybe it has to do with that Beware the Nice Ones comment from last week. Josuke leans back against the couch, offering his card back to him. ]

Well, there's nothing wrong with not wanting to talk about something like this on camera. [ He can do it, and would if he needed to -- he has things like this on his own card. But he's always been more empathetic and open than most. Mark shouldn't feel guilty. ] But I bet they're for helping us solve the matches.

[ Because they need to get to know each other on a deeper level, right? Perhaps especially the two of them, since they're matched. There's the Embrace Space, where there's less cameras, but that seems a little extreme to suggest for privacy. ]

We could do an easy one. Or... I don't know, I don't mind going first for one of the harder ones. Your call, man.

[Perhaps Dorothea crosses paths with Ryuji shortly after she’s obtained a scavenger hunt list from Tsukasa. She’s scouring the various tasks on the list when he catches her attention from the corner of her eye, and she’ll lower the paper and immediately greet him with a bright smile.]

Well, well, if it isn’t Mr. Perfect Match himself!

I. Sword and Bread!!

A. Sword

[ Are these the perks of not making the Overseer completely miserable? Hard to say, but Lessing looks mildly surprised to see a large package left out in the living room for him. It takes him about half a second to realize exactly what it is based on the size of the package though, and given recent revelations maybe it's coming none-too-late.

He doesn't say a word as he unwraps his absurdly huge sword which actually stands a little taller than he does (and yes, that does include his horns). It's completely wrapped from tip to hilt in cloth bandages, so it could easily be a prop sword, right?

Maybe... The way the whole living room seems to vibrate for a second when he picks the sword up and lets the tip of it fall heavily onto the floor suggests otherwise.

Look though! He's smiling! ]

B. Bread

[ Come get yourself some bread! This one is definitely Tsukasa's doing, considering [REDACTED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE].

Is this a particular exciting prompt? PERHAPS NOT, but use this as a chance to learn about this bread if you didn't know already. Lessing certainly looks happy standing by the counter chowing down on a slice. ]


II. Scavenger Hunt

[ Lessing is standing in the living room, holding one of the sofa's throw pillows, looking baffled as he looks at the list. Much like the cake incident, the first person that walks by is being offered the pillow. ]

[ Someone has never heard the term "lap pillow" before, and is doing his best to guess. ]


III. Hot Tub

[ If you have it, you might as well use it, right? The mystery of how Lessing gets shirts on and off of his head will remain for now, because for the first time that anyone would see him without one, he'll just be showing up late in the evening to the hot tub.

His scars might not be as impressive and large as the one Steve is sporting, but damn there sure are a lot of them. Most of them look fairly old and faded, though there are number that look like they were probably made far more recently.

It's fine. Like he's told some people already, all the people almost dying and/or actually dying in his country has been put to rest (for now). ]
