Truth be told, I’m still trying to narrow it down myself. There’s one I was considering that I might be rethinking after this morning, though…

[It was hard to miss the showdown between Anna and Akechi during the Truth Booth reveal…]

[Kat smiles sympathetically, which is a little like a hug in an expression.] Yeah... I think I might have been barking up the wrong tree, too.

[Not necessarily with the same people, but... she gets it.] We've still got time to think about it! Um... we talked a lot about what people like or don't like. [Though she doesn't know Dorothea's takes on that, maybe...] Maybe what you want to wish for is a clue to your match, too?

[IF she wants to share what that is, anyway.]

[Goodness, isn’t she just cute. Kat gets a matching look of sympathy from her as well, because yeah— she feels that, girl. 🤝

The wish angle, though… actually, that’s probably a good one to consider, now that she thinks about it.]

That might not be such a bad way to learn a little more about each other. Particularly those who are here primarily for the wish…

[She blushes a little, admittedly a little embarrassed to really get right into it.]

I’m hoping to use my wish to change the way things work back home. That way everyone can have an equal shot at a better life. [It’s the nobility. She wants to tear down the nobility. She laughs a little.] Feels a little naive to expect it work.

That's... [Her expression lights up.] ...That's wonderful, Dorothea! People don't deserve to be treated differently just because of where they were born or their circumstances. If it works, you'd change a lot of lives.

[Kat leans to the side, giving the rest of the groups a sideways glance and tugging her head in that direction.]

I bet there are a lot of people who would agree with what you want here, too.

[Which, uh, does not exactly help them with their quest to narrow it down, but... It does mean that she's less likely to find someone who's going to dismiss her dream.]

[Oh, it does warm her heart a little to see Kat so earnestly excited by the idea. Dorothea has definitely spent far too long surrounded by nobles, with the way she half-expected an idea like that to get dismissed.]

One would hope, right? I suppose there’s no way to know but to ask.

[Honestly, it’s probably a good litmus test for finding out general compatibility. That and learning of the other contestants’ wishes wishes as well. Which, speaking of—]

What sort of wish has brought you here, Kitty? If you don’t mind my asking.

It isn't Kat's first - technically, even Kat is one - and it sure wom't be her last. People just like giving her nicknames for some reason. She brings her hands together, chafing her palms as she answers.]

Um... actually... I'm here for my match. I thought if this could reveal who I'm supposed to be with to me, I'd learn something about myself.

[She realizes how silly that must make her sound and brings her hands up quickly, waving them in resistance.]

Not that I don't have things I'd want to wish for that I haven't figured out how to do yet! My friend thought I might be able to wish to remember more about my past, so that's why they're watching the city for me while I'm here... [There's some thought unfulfilled still as she trails off.

[There’s a sweet smile initially when Kat says she’s here for her match—it’s incredibly cute, and Dorothea is always ready to cheer on the idea of romance—but as she elaborates, her brows knit a little in concern.]

You don’t remember your past?

[Immediately reaching out to give her a gentle, comforting touch on her arm.]

I can’t imagine how frustrating that must be. Surely we can do something to help?

[Dorothea gets an appreciative smile for the kind hand on her arm.]

Yeah, I haven't been able to find any answers yet. I'm in a strange place, after all! And... I've been kinda busy. [Any time it had seemed there was a chance for her to learn more about her past, Kat had been distracted by another crisis.]

I don't know where to tell you guys to start, but I figure if there's something important, I'm bound to remember it eventually. So... I think I'd end up using my wish for something else.

[Coming to a strange place like this is certainly a Choice for trying to solve the memory problem, but… well, if she’s often busy maybe the change of pace really could be just the thing she needs to put some pieces together.

A pause, Dorothea tiling her head to the side a little thoughtfully.]

Well, we’ll have to see if we can get some heads together to brainstorm any ideas that might get your memory jogging. That way maybe you can learn what you’re missing and can get that wish of your choice.

[It’s a win-win! They have to make it happen!]

[Oh. That's...a little more than most people have put into revealing the secrets of her past. It's usually well-wishes, maybe the occasional leading question.

She doesn't know how she feels about that.]

You're too kind - and it's a really smart idea. If we put all 16 of our heads together, there's probably nothing we can't solve.

[And of course, just like that, she switches gears again.] Which is why it's a good idea to start figuring out the matches! Maybe mine is also a clue to my past... or it'll brighten my future!
